Hunger doesn't take the weekend off. No child should worry about their next meal, especially on the weekends. Yet in Orangeburg County, 1 in 4 children faces hunger when school meals aren't available. A hungry child cannot focus, learn, or thrive. Addressing food insecurity is more than just providing meals-it's about providing the care and support every child needs to become their best selves. It's a reminder that compassion and kindness still lead the way in Orangeburg County. Please join me by donating to help make a difference. Thank you!

We're so excited as we count down to the big unveiling tomorrow, February 8th from 1pm-4pm. Walls That Speak, the final touches !

"Walls That Speak" is a transformative mural project celebrating our rich cultural heritage and community character. Join us for the unveiling of "Walls That Speak", a community mural project designed to celebrate art, culture, and unity! This special event will feature music, food, and entertainment, bringing the community together in a vibrant artistic space.

Saturday, February 8th, 2025. 1pm-4pm!

This initiative was made possible through a Connected Communities Grant from Central Carolina Community Foundation. We look forward to celebrating this meaningful project with the Orangeburg Community!

On January 16th and 17th, the Orangeburg County Community of Character welcomed students from Lake Marion Middle School, Lake Marion High School, Bowman Elementary, Bowman Middle and High Schools, and North High School to participate in the community mural project, "Walls That Speak". Reflecting on character traits, the students shared that the mural symbolizes unity, community, and resilience. It was an honor to have these young individuals contribute to this meaningful initiative, which fosters both artistic expression and personal growth.
