You can have everyone’s approval and still miss the point.

Who you live for determines how you live. 👀

This Wednesday at CSM, we’re wrapping up our series APPROVED with AUDIENCE OF ONE.

We’re talking about what it actually means to live for God’s glory, remain faithful when obedience costs us something, and stop allowing the opinions of others to have more authority than God’s Word.

MESSed UP doesn’t mean unusable. 👀🔥

Moses had a past. Moses had doubts. Moses had excuses. But God still called him.

This Sunday, we’re continuing our MESSED UP series and discovering that our confidence doesn’t come from what we bring to the table, but from WHO goes with us! 🙌🏼

📖 Exodus 3:11–12

“BUT ARE YOU JUDGING ME?” 👀

What do you do when someone’s criticism actually hurts? What if they’re wrong about you? And maybe the harder question… **what if they’re right?**

Not every opinion deserves authority in your life, but that doesn’t mean we ignore correction either.

Tomorrow in CSM, we’re talking about how to recognize the difference between **criticism that defines you, correction that grows you, and conviction that points you back to Jesus.**

You don’t have to live controlled by what people think of you. Your goal isn’t everyone’s approval, it’s faithfulness to God.

This Sunday, our students were challenged to write down on a pair of shoes the things that make running from God seem easier than running to Him.

Shame. Fear. Guilt. Sin. The feeling of not being good enough.

But here’s the truth: God’s grace was never something we could earn.

“If God’s grace was only for people who ‘earned it,’ none of us would qualify. The truth is, we’re all equally undeserving—and we’re all equally loved.” -Mr. Cody

Romans 5:8 reminds us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

You don’t have to earn your way back to a God who is already calling you to Himself. 🤍

You messed up. You ignored God. You went the opposite direction. So… now what? 👀

Has my disobedience disqualified me?

This Sunday, we’re looking at Jonah—a man who literally ran from what God told him to do. And yet, God wasn’t finished with him.

Your disobedience matters. There are consequences to running from God. But your failure doesn’t put you somewhere God can’t reach you.

God still calls. God still corrects. God still gives opportunities to obey.

This Sunday, Mrs. Jennifer said it perfectly:

“Sin changes the way we approach God, not how He approaches us.”

The brokenness we experience in this world is a result of sin—not the character of God.

Sin brings shame. Sin makes us hide. Sin convinces us to pull away from the very One we need most. But God’s character doesn’t change.

Don’t let the brokenness of this world convince you that God is anything less than good. 👏🏼

Shame isolates. Jesus restores. 🙌🏼

Shame tells you to hide—to pull away from God, from community, and from the people who love you. But Jesus calls us out of hiding and into the light.

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 8:1

You don’t have to isolate because of what you’ve done. In Christ, confession doesn’t lead to condemnation—it leads to forgiveness, freedom, and restoration.
