Dine in or take out from these restaurants on the assigned dates and mention SOCSD! A percentage of your bill will go towards a gift card for a family who is good insecure in our district through out food pantry!

It’s easier than ever to donate to the Food Pantry! You can bring by your donations to the main entrance of TZHS any time! We have a distribution coming up on January 19th, and could really use help stocking our shelves. Items we need :

Cereal, pasta, pasta sauce in cans or plastic jars, canned fruits and veggies, soup, mac and cheese, tuna, and other nonperishables. Please no glass containers or perishable items.

And our Amazon wishlist is updated at the top of the page.

Reminder the Food Pantry will be open to receive donations tomorrow at the new location at TZHS. Please read the info below for more info.

We are running a food and gift card drive to support our families for Thanksgiving. The Pantry will be open to receive donations on Monday, November 14th from 4-6 at the new location at Tappan Zee High School.

If you’d like to donate gift cards, $25 Stop and Shop cards are greatly appreciated. We are not accepting perishable items at this time, so the gift cards will allow our families to shop for what they need.

If you’d like to donate food for Thanksgiving, please consider the following items. (no glass containers please)

Instant mashed potatoes
Canned vegetable
Canned yams
Canned cranberry sauce
Canned gravy
Mac and cheeese
Canned turkey or ham

Also, the Amazon Wishlist located at the top of the page has been updated.

If you would like to donate gift cards and can’t make it to the donation time on 11/14, they can be dropped off at SOMS attention Family Engagement Center: AJ Walker. Or you can contact me, Evan, at 845-893-8158 for collection.

The Pantry will be open for a final donation day this Thursday from 2:30-5:30.

On June 16th, the Pantry will be opening its doors to families in need for one final time before the summer. We will be emptying our shelves, and we will be closed for the summer months.

If you are a family in need or know of a family in need during the summer, please let us know.

We will reevaluate during the summer to see what the role of the pantry will be moving forward.

All of us at the SOCSD/FEC Food Pantry thank you for your ongoing support. We helped so many families in our district over the past few years, when they were most in need. We couldn’t have done it without the generosity of this community. 💜
