Happy New Year! I'm excited about 2026 and the content I will be producing on my favorite topics of wildlife from wild sheep to white sharks of course (and many things in between).

Did I mention I love fishing? This catch-and-release redfish on the fly was a highlight for me in 2024 and I'm excited to return to South Padre Island with a good friend to do it again this year.

On a personal level, I plan on doing more fishing-especially with friends. It's my place to escape and have a great time enjoying God's Creation. #2026

Would you like to make a tax-deductible end of the year donation to our ministry? Our mission is to bring the love of Christ to hurting children through wildlife encounters.

Our Wild Wishes® program has granted 300 of these encounters and through our Higher Calling Wildlife® program we have taken it out of Texas to Colorado, Wyoming, Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida and North Carolina.

We want to start 2026 on strong footing because we have a lot to do. Please consider helping us with a donation. The link is in the comments.

Me and my daughter Faith were so excited to see this beautiful Rocky Mountain bighorn ram in the Big Thompson Canyon near Estes Park, CO. She got great photos including one that earned her a spot at a national fine arts competition. Wildlife photography is a great way to get your kids engaged in nature and more importantly you get to spend precious time with them.

We need your help to make a very special group of kids in the foster system have a GREAT WHITE. CHRISTMAS!

We'll be visiting them and giving them a Christmas gift package and want to include some shark conservation inspiration gifts.

The last time we visited them and showed our shark documentary they loved it!

Today is Giving Tuesday! Would you consider a tax-deductible donation to our Wild Wishes® program? The 300th kid came through our program two weeks ago and we have many more we're wanting to help. This is not even including all of the kids we work with in foster in other facets of our ministry. We're behind on donations this year in comparison to recent years and could use help getting set up to start 2026 strong and reaching more kids for Christ through our wildlife-based ministry.

Some 12 years this week, the Holy Spirit told me to ask the little girl walking past me in the hallway at Community Church what her favorite animal was and to taker to meet it. I knew she had lost her Dad in an accident but I had no concept of this program yet. She said it was a zebra.

I asked if she wanted to meet one and she asked if that was possible.

I said, "It will be."

That was the very first child in our Wild Wishes® program that grants wildlife encounters to children facing life challenges: ranging from critical illness to parent/sibling loss, su***de attempts, life in the foster system and trafficking.'

Today by the grace of God-literally and the support of incredible people, the 300th child entered into the Wild Wishes® program. Thank you to everyone who prays for, financially supports and helps us with other things to make this possible.

This is an extremely challenging ministry in many ways but God always provides the ability to help children. It is our family's greatest desire to make a positive impact on children and to share Christ with them.

If we've had the privilege of doing a wish for you-know we love you. If we can help a kid in your life-let us know.

And to those outside the program who might want to help-we have two huge announcements about expansion and they will help take the program to many, many more children. If you would like to make tax-deductible donation you can via the link in the comments.

Thanks to everyone!

One of the most impactful things we do with kids in our program is take them in to wild places to do wildlife photography. This is me out photographing Gould's turkeys in the Sky Islands region of Southeastern Arizona. We are considering doing something with kids in this region in 2026. It has incredible wildlife diversity including Coue's deer, coatimundis and the occasional jaguar!

Asking for funds has never been my favorite part of this work. But the truth is, it’s a necessary part—especially right now.

We started a campaign in August to raise $7,000 in additional funds and we've raised around half of that.

We’re just 10 children away from a huge milestone: bringing hope to 300 kids through our Wild Wishes program. In fact, we may break the 300 level with a very busy weekend in the program but we need YOUR help.

These are children who’ve experienced deep trauma—serious illness, abuse, trafficking, or the foster care system. Wild Wishes offers something rare and healing: a meaningful wildlife encounter and a personalized gift package to remind them they are seen, loved, and not forgotten.

Each in-town Wild Wish costs around $500, and every bit truly helps. We’re aiming to raise $7,000 to finish out the year strong and reach those final 10 kids. And that number is on top of all of our normal costs to operate so you can see why I'm asking.

If you feel led to give, your donation is 100% tax-deductible and goes directly to the cause.

The link to donate is in the comments.

Thanks to your generosity, 34 children have already received a Wild Wishes experience his year. Let’s finish what we started together. Thank you for walking with us in this mission. You’re helping us share the love of Christ in a way that’s real and lasting.

Happy Halloween! It was cool getting to me "Harry" from "Harry and the Hendersons" a movie I watched more than a few times as a kid. Actually, this just looks like that costume, but maybe a little scarier and it's owned by a haunted attract called Dark Woods in Louisiana. Cool trivia: the gentleman who played "Harry" in that classic was also the awesome villain in Predator.

Never give up on your dreams! Since I was a really little boy I have dreamt of working with wildlife and as soon as I learned about conservation I knew that was somehow tied to my calling in life.

This little kid dreamed of white sharks and wild sheep and to have the privilege to get work in media projects with both has been a true blessing.

I went through some pretty significant bullying and slander as a kid but somehow I never lost my enthusiasm and never let others dictate what my future would be. I'm grateful for a faith in Christ that has given me hope and for the people who I connect with who also have a heart for conservation.

I am no one special. But I get to do special things. You can too. Never give up on your dreams. Even if they seem distant start making little steps toward them every day. You can do it.
