Providing free summer camps and year-round peer support for children impacted by a parents cancer. Kesem at Chapman Unviersity was founded in 2016

Kesem is a diverse community led by passionate and empathetic college students working to ensure that children facing the challenges of a parent’s cancer have space, connection, and support to rediscover the joys of childhood. Our mission is to support children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a lasting community. Camp Kesem at Chapman University

was founded in 2017 and supports children in the Orange community by providing Camp Kesem, a free week-long summer camp experience, and year-round Through and Beyond support services. Our chapter is operated by 50 student volunteers and serves 50 campers ages 6-18 per year. Kesem operates at more than 130 chapters coast-to-coast. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make Kesem at Chapman’s Make the Magic such an unforgettable night! Thanks to you, we raised over $27,000, reaching our MTM goal! 🌟

To our amazing attendees, volunteers, and alumni—we truly couldn’t do this without you. A special shoutout to our MTM coordinators, T-Rex and Pebble, for creating such a beautiful event. We love you!
