REMINDER: We're making some changes to make it easier to stay in the loop about Orange County activities! To help reduce the number of pages that our residents need to follow, and to reduce duplicate information, we'll be consolidating several social media pages. See below for details. ⬇️

Effective January 12, 2026, the following pages will be merged:
➡️ The Orange County Landfill page will be consolidated with County of Orange, Virginia - Local Government. The Landfill page will be unpublished. Going forward, all information that would have been posted there will simply be posted on the County of Orange, Virginia - Local Government page.

➡️ The Project EXCEL, OC-VA Youth Council, Prevent Child Abuse - Orange County, VA, and OC School Age Child Care pages will be consolidated with the main Office on Youth page at Orange County Office on Youth. Those pages will be unpublished. Going forward, the information that would have been posted on those several pages will simply be posted on the Orange County Office on Youth page.

This change is intended to streamline our channels so information is easier to find. We'll post some more reminders between now and January 12, but if you follow one of the listed pages that will be consolidated, please go ahead and follow either the County of Orange, Virginia - Local Government or Orange County Office on Youth pages to stay in the loop.

Check out our amazing students accomplishments!!

We are thrilled to announce that a record-breaking 25 students have been selected to represent OCHS at the 2026 VCDA District 13 High School Honors Choir! These Hornets successfully auditioned against over 275 students from the surrounding area. The selected students will join 100 other musicians from District 13 to prepare additional music under the direction of guest clinician Laura Lazarevich, Artistic Director of the South Loudoun Youth Chorale. Their hard work will culminate in a free concert at Monticello High School on Saturday, February 14th, at 3:00 PM. Congratulations to these talented students!

It is with great honor, that The Orange County Office on Youth along with the Orange Healthy Community Action Team and OC-VA Youth Council were presented wth a 2025 VACo Achievement Award at The Board Of Supervisors meeting on September 24th, 2025.

We're thrilled that The OC-VA Youth Council's efforts to combat underage to***co use have been recognized with a Virginia Association of Counties 2025 Achievement Award! Our staff was honored to help guide and support them as they worked to make a difference in our community.

We are very grateful for the fantastic teamwork done by The Youth Council, The Orange HCAT and The Office On Youth. The efforts of the three groups combined helped to make this all possible.
