CAHIP - Orange County stormed the administrative office of the Capitol in Sacramento to speak with "one voice" the role of the agent in health insurance with our elected senators and assemblymembers. John Evangelista, Tracy Hanson, Jennifer Turner, Sarah Knapp, Ailene Dewar Costello, Haley Ma**er, and Melissa Calabretta gathered together in unity.

CAHIP - Orange County was honored with awards at the California Agents & Health Insurance Professionals Capitol Summit. Sarah Knapp accepted the Chapter Excellence Award as well as the Outstanding Newsletter Award & Outstanding Writing Award presented by Patricia Stiffler and Dawn MacFarland. At home in the OC, Sarah Knapp presented the Outstanding Writing Award and Outstanding Newsletter Award to Dorothy Cociu for her dedication of serving as the editor of the COIN.

It was very impactful to have three candidates running for Insurance Commissioner to present at the California Agents & Health Insurance Professionals Capitol Summit. Ben Allen, Steven Bradford, and Stacy Korsgaden shared with us their vision for the Department of Insurance in 2027.

The California Agents & Health Insurance Professionals Capitol Summit included intentional and powerful programing featuring political commentator Mike Madrid as well as Faith Borges, Janet Powelson, and Jordan Futch educating the attendees on this year's talking points with the legislators. Our primary focus is the role of the agent.
