More than 99% of polio cases have been eliminated since the global eradication effort began in 1988. But 99% isn’t 100%.

This Saturday, October 24, is World Polio Day. Rotary remains committed to finishing the job and creating a world where no child has to fear polio.

Together, we can End Polio Now. ❤️

💜 We walked with purpose. We walked with hope. We walked for a future without Alzheimer’s.

Today, Sherrie Page, Joan Vance McGregor, Shannon McGregor Cooper, Sarah Crosen of Partners 1st Federal Credit Union of Orange, and Acie Crosen joined the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, taking steps for those living with this disease, the families and caregivers beside them, and the loved ones we carry in our hearts.

The Rotary Club of Orange extends a huge thank-you to Partners 1st Federal Credit Union of Orange, Va for their generous donation, and to our club members who couldn’t join us but supported this worthy cause with a donation. Your kindness helped carry our mission forward. 💜

Behind every step is someone worth remembering. Behind every donation is hope for a better tomorrow.

🚗💙 Help a neighbor, one ride at a time!

Getting to medical appointments and completing essential errands can be a challenge for residents in our Orange community. VolTran Rides - Volunteer Transportation Service is looking for volunteer drivers to help older adults, people with disabilities, and others in need.

Volunteers choose their availability and which rides they provide. Training is provided, and drivers may use their own vehicle or a VolTran shared vehicle.

☎️ Know a neighbor, family member, or friend who needs a ride? Call 540-829-5300 to request transportation. Rides depend on volunteer availability and are not guaranteed.

🧥❄️ Let’s keep our community warm this winter!

The Rotary Club of Orange, VA is collecting winter apparel on behalf of the Lake of the Woods Lions and Lioness Clubs to help local residents in need.

Have clean, gently used or new coats, scarves, gloves, hats, boots, or socks to share? Coats, hats, and gloves for children and teens are especially needed!

📍 Save yourself a drive to Locust Grove! Drop off donations at PS Hair, 190 Caroline St., Orange, during normal business hours through October 30. Collections at the Locust Grove locations listed on the flyer continue through November 11.

💙 Need winter clothing? Distribution will take place at Living Water Outreach Center:
• November 12: 4–6 p.m.
• November 13: 8–10 a.m.

Alzheimer’s has touched so many families in our community. The Rotary Club of Orange, VA is joining the Walk to End Alzheimer’s to honor loved ones, support families and caregivers, and help move us toward a world without Alzheimer’s.

🕛 Site opens at noon • Ceremony at 1 PM • Walk begins at 1:30 PM
