Hello! 🤗

MoCA would like to invite you to our first Community Concert Fundraiser! This concert was born out of our founding member, Sarah Townsend-Handley’s senior capstone project. Rather than have a closed door recital, Sarah instead wanted to create space for everyone to enjoy the transformative power of music and art! The concert will be held on April 9th at 5pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 3352 Katella Ave, Los Alamitos, CA 90720 from 4:30 - 6:30PM.

This concert will feature a variety of performances and artwork from around the Chapman University community, ranging for arts songs, contemporary music, poetry, and multimedia visual arts. Following the performance a reception will be held in the courtyard of the church.

This fundraiser is aimed to help fund the creation of a new summer music program that combines ethnic studies and music education for elementary students in the Mountain View Whisman School District. This program is a joint project between MoCA and Active Learning in the Arts (ALIA), an Arts education non-profit. All proceeds will be donated to ALIA.

Individual tickets can be found at our eventbrite. Our tickets are donation based and will be collected through venmo -Townsend-Handley or at the door. Please contribute what you can, as every little bit helps! Our DMs are open for any questions! Invite your friends and family as all are welcome! We hope to count on your support and see you at the Community Concert!
