Local 952 Secretary-Treasurer Eric Jimenez and Business Agents Sam Carlin and James Lopez met with Garden Grove Mayor Stephanie Klopfenstein to continue building a strong relationship with our city leaders.

Born and raised in Garden Grove, Mayor Klopfenstein has deep roots in the community. Her family’s history in Garden Grove dates back to the late 1800s, and in 2024, she was elected as Garden Grove’s first female mayor.

Building relationships and keeping open lines of communication with elected officials who support working people and the right to work union is a constant priority for Local 952.

Mayor Klopfenstein continues to be a strong voice for union members and working families throughout Garden Grove. We appreciate her taking the time to meet with Local 952, and we look forward to continuing to build bridges and work together for the working people of Garden Grove.

Teamsters Local 952 showed up in Riverside to stand with our brothers and sisters at Amazon Teamsters Local 1932.

Amazon Teamsters at the DJT6 warehouse took action over alleged intimidation and retaliation against workers fighting for safer working conditions. This 24 hour work stoppage was an important moment for Amazon Teamsters and for the fight to make sure workers have a real voice on the job.

But what really stood out was the commitment from our own members. Brothers and sisters from UPS and other yards worked their shifts all day, showed up to the strike line at 1 in the morning, stood on that line through the night, and then went back to work the next day.

That is the kind of unity that makes the Teamsters such a powerful union. Our members understand that when another Teamster is fighting, you show up. You don’t need to be asked twice.

We couldn’t be more proud of Local 952 and the way our members continue to stand with Teamsters across Southern California in the fight for Amazon workers.

Congratulations to Brother Kit Karch on his retirement after 35 years at Albertsons!

Kit stopped by the hall and met with President John Green to pick up his retirement watch, T shirt and pins.

After 35 years on the job, Kit’s got a pretty good plan for retirement…Enjoy life, do some traveling, and leave the alarm clock behind.

Congratulations brother Kit. You put in the years, now it’s time to enjoy retirement.👊🏻💥

Congratulations to Brother Ray Oronoz of Albertsons on 45 years of safe driving!

That’s one hell of an accomplishment. 45 years behind the wheel, putting in the miles and getting the job done safely. You don’t reach a milestone like that without knowing how to handle a truck and the road.

We’re proud of Ray and the example he sets as a professional Teamster truck driver. Here’s to 45 years of safe miles and many more to come.
