March 9, 2026

The Black Creek Young Marines stepped up and put in the work as they conducted their Physical Fitness Test (PFT)—and they did not disappoint.

From the moment it began, our Young Marines pushed themselves through every event with determination and grit. The PFT is not just about physical ability—it’s about heart, resilience, and refusing to quit when it gets tough. And that’s exactly what we saw.
Every run, every repetition, every second counted. Some were chasing personal bests, others were proving to themselves just how strong they’ve become—but all of them showed what it means to be a Young Marine.

What stands out most isn’t just the scores—it’s the effort, the encouragement between teammates, and the mindset to keep going no matter what.

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of these Young Marines for stepping up to the challenge and giving it their all.
This is how leaders are built.

Semper Fidelis!

March 22, 2026.

The Black Creek Young Marines had an unforgettable experience taking to the skies as part of the Young Eagles Program—and what an incredible day it was!

From the moment we arrived, our Young Marines were fully immersed in the world of aviation. They participated in detailed preflight inspections, learning how to check the aircraft and understand the critical safety procedures that take place before every flight. This wasn’t just watching—it was hands-on, real-world experience.
Once in the air, each Young Marine enjoyed approximately a 20-minute flight, soaring above and seeing their community from a whole new perspective. The highlight? Our Young Marines actually took control of the aircraft and flew the planes themselves under the guidance of experienced pilots. An opportunity few ever get—and they rose to the challenge with confidence and excitement!

After landing, they completed post-flight discussions, asking questions, reflecting on their experience, and gaining even more knowledge about aviation and flight operations.

This wasn’t just a flight—it was inspiration in action. Opportunities like this ignite curiosity, build confidence, and open doors to future careers in aviation and beyond.

A HUGE thank you to the Young Eagles Program and the incredible volunteer pilots who made this experience possible. You didn’t just give our Young Marines a flight—you gave them a memory and a vision for the future they’ll never forget.

Semper Fidelis!

Attending the 4 Chaplains event with the Black Creek Young Marines was, without question, the most moving ceremony we have ever attended. The event honors the four Army chaplains who gave their life jackets to others and sacrificed their own lives when the USAT Dorchester sank during World War II — a powerful symbol of unity, faith, and selfless courage in the face of death. Hearing their story while standing beside our Young Marines was overwhelming. Watching the kids absorb the weight of that sacrifice reminded us why we dedicate ourselves to teaching honor and service. The emotion in the room was undeniable; myself and Ms. Vickie were sobbing, completely overcome by the gravity and beauty of the moment. It was heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time — a living reminder that true heroism is measured in sacrifice, and remembering these men is a responsibility we proudly carry forward.

Today, the Young Eagles Program welcomed the Black Creek Young Marines with open arms, and we are so grateful for their time, hospitality, and support. ✈️
Although the weather didn’t cooperate and we weren’t able to fly, our Young Marines still had an incredible experience. Sometimes life isn’t fair, sometimes plans change, and sometimes things don’t go the way we hope—but that in itself is a powerful lesson. Our Young Marines learned firsthand the importance of patience, resilience, and staying positive no matter the circumstances.
And make no mistake—we WILL reschedule. The skies will clear, and when they do, our Young Marines will be ready.
Thank you, Young Eagles, for your dedication to inspiring our youth and for reminding us that the journey is just as important as the destination.
