🌟 Superintendent’s High School Super Student of the Month: Emery G. 🌟

Let’s give a massive round of applause to Emery G., an outstanding 12th grader at Oakleaf High School! Emery brings an unrivaled work ethic, dedication, and passion for excellence to our school community every single day.

As team captain for the Oakleaf FFA dairy goat show team, Emery has led weekly tasks, designed team schedules, and mentored younger students while being involved in eight additional FFA teams and video production, earning the prestigious title of Star Farmer of the Year! Beyond his remarkable agricultural achievements, Emery distinguishes himself academically as an AICE Diploma recipient, maintaining an impressive 4.3 GPA alongside over 100 community service hours. Whether moving textbooks over the summer, supporting classroom activities, or volunteering at campus events, he consistently demonstrates the kindness, patience, and diligence of a true campus leader.

Last week we celebrated National Teach Ag Day. Since Madelynn and Justin have attended the Ag Ed Institute at UF they each led the classes for the day. Justin led all of Mr. Samples classes while Madelynn led all of Ms. Gs. We learned about all the roles Ag teachers have, educational requirements to become an ag teacher, and discussed the impact a great teacher can have. We finished up by writing a letter of appreciation to a teacher who made an impact on us while we enjoyed some snacks.
