Justice for BEAU: Neglected at Orange Cove Animal Shelter

Wondering if the new Animal control officer is still working or if City of Orange Cove Ca., Orange Cove City Hall, and Orange Cove Police Department have broken her spirit. She is not responding to rescue and information inquiries and the last post was on wednesday, without any of the compassion and information that she included in her posts.

This is an enclosure at the shelter after it was cleaned before the new officer came . ..empty water bowls and cold, wet dogs. II gave water buckets, but they had no squeegee- and just hosed f***s down the drains. I’m sure the rust and unsafe enclosures are still in disrepair, as fixing this would-have required demolition of the entire building.
The ultimate blame goes to the citizens of Orange Cove fir not spaying/neutering and caring for their dogs, and allowing this to continue by voting in the same city council . 😢

These dogs are still alive at Orange Cove Animal Control. But they will probably be euthanized before Christmas.
They need rescue!!
ALL ARE IN TACT - and friendly with people.

The gray and brown pitties were found abandoned and starving in a vacated house. They need love and some TLC. Please don’t let any of these dogs die in this awful shelter.

Good news of the day:

Lily has been missing for 5 years. Yesterday, when we called the number on the chip, her mom said she has been keeping the chip information updated this whole time hoping she’d make her way home.

Today, she did. ❤️

Isn’t it a government entity!?
Ridiculous.
We would like to share the news about the new AC officer, but you will have to search for yourself. We’re hoping this is the beginning of a caring, sanitary, and positive shelter that educates the public about spay/neuter programs and concentrates on finding rescue for dogs, instead of euthanizing them.

UPDATE:GP has found rescue. The others are still in danger…
