Personally I’m very concerned about will our democracy survive if the former president is once again re-elected. Like many people I see that he wants to be in total control of our country. It is up to all the voters in the way they vote. Also I hope there is manipulation of electoral votes, and if the former president loses that we don’t have another January 6th disruption of the election results. It is very disturbing to me so many people want to vote for someone who encourage his supporters to attack the Capital on January 6th, 2021.

Listening once again to words from the mouth of the former president is not going in the directions for democracy. Stating if loses the election it will be caused by fraud of the Democrats. Once again moving in the wrong direction for not being able to accept a fair results of an election.

Present discussion are more national and international at this time. Today I am hoping that a ceasefire agreement can be reached to end all bloodshed in the Middle East. What happened on October 7th was terrible and all deaths now happening in Gaza is also terrible. Way too many people are suffering and dying. My prayers go out for end to this war and return of hostages still being held. Peace, peace, peace, oh dear lord please let come!!

The election in November I believe will be a deciding factor to weather we continue with our democracy that was designed by our forefathers and history. Yes our democracy has gone through hard times and good times. This the first time in my life’s history that I hear a presidential candidate talk about ending democracy. The former president wants to make only his rules that will only be beneficial for him. So if you are like me please vote for maintaining our democracy and our Constitution. There is also concern about candidates that follow the former president down the destructive path to our democracy.

Today it was sad to think where our democracy is headed. We continue to hear outlandish remarks from the former president and his MAGA supporters. It seems to me these supporters and the former president have no respect for our Constitution and the rule of law. The ones that are in office and have sworn and oath to protect and defend our democracy and Constitution don’t care to do so. They only want to support someone who wants to overturn our government. Come November I wonder what manipulations will they use if President Biden wins to overturn the election.

Orange County Peace and Justice has been mostly inactive for the past 15 years. Maybe I will give some thought to bringing it back to being somewhat more active. My personal belief is having the former president come back into the office will be very damaging to our democracy. It will be up to the voters to make the proper decision.

This is interesting that my Facebook is Orange Country Peace & Justice. The Coalition I was member of was located in Orange County New York. I am wondering if this is same group. My only comment today is a concern for our democracy at present time. Congress needs to have both parties work together on issues of gun control, raising the debt ceiling for now and then work making a budget that will bring down our debt. Expelling party members either democrat or republican from legislative bodies is not a democratic way forward. The people must be the ones to decide by voting.

If it could happen to him [a law-abiding retired marine] then it could happen to anyone.
a retired and very patient, cooperating marine gets pulled over.
far too many layers of law enforcement in the UUS. many serious crimes go unchallenged while innocent, honest, law-abiding citizens get taken advantage of.
the system must be challenged and changed or else innocent people will be harmed.
I'd also like to see a higher authority routinely pull over patrol cars, marked and unmarked to check for drugs, dwi, credentials, ask them the same questions they ask innocent UUS citizens.

A place we visit in early April. Sometimes there is beautiful winter landscape and sometimes it just left over winter landscape. It always nice to visit there using our time share at the Von Trapp guest house.
