Check out this fun event hosted by Iowa 4-H!

Ready for an outdoor adventure? Spend a full day outside learning to fish, exploring nature, and building real outdoor skills alongside local experts! Youth will connect with Iowa DNR and County Conservation professionals while discovering career pathways in natural resources and outdoor recreation.

Open to all youth in grades 4–12 (4-H membership is NOT required)
Registration is $25

What to expect:
Hands-on fishing
Orienteering & team-building challenge
Explore Iowa ecosystems & natural resources
Outdoor skills like campfire cooking, survival basics, fish ID, and stream study (topics vary by location)
Learn alongside Iowa Department of Natural Resources & County Conservation professionals

May 27, 9 AM – 3 PM | Lake Belva Deer, Sigourney, IA
June 10, 9 AM – 3 PM | Swiss Valley Nature Center, Peosta, IA
June 29, 9 AM – 2 PM | Lost Island Nature Center, Ruthven, IA
June 30, 9 AM – 3 PM | North Cedar Park, Plainfield, IA
July 16, 9 AM – 3 PM | Glissman Conservation Area, Adel, IA

Bring a sack lunch, water bottle and dress for the outdoors (be prepared for weather rain or shine!)

Please join us in congratulating our 2026 Sioux County 4-H Scholarship recipients, Kolby Oldenkamp and Delainee Stoll! 🎉

Kolby Oldenkamp graduated from Sioux Center High School. She participated in Clover Kids for three years and was a 4-H member for 9 years. Kolby also received a state 4-H scholarship from the Iowa Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association Scholarship. Congratulations, Kolby!

Delainee Stoll graduated from Gehlen Catholic High School. Delainee participated in Clover Kids for 2 years and 4-H for 9 years. Congratulations, Delainee!

We would like to congratulate all of our graduating senior 4-H members! We wish you all the best in your future endeavors and are proud to have you represent Sioux County 4-H! 💚

Each year at the Sioux County Youth Fair, we recognize outstanding youth and dedicated adults at the Sioux County 4‑H Awards Program. It’s our chance to honor leadership, hard work, and the spirit of 4‑H in our community.
This year, the awards program will take place right before the Ribbon Auction.
Award applications are available on our website, and all materials are due June 1.

Pullorum-Typhoid Testing is required for ALL Poultry (except pigeons) in order to exhibit at the Sioux County Youth Fair! PT Testing will take place on June 27th from 9:00am-10:00am at the fairgrounds!🐓🦃🦆
If you have several birds and need testers to come to your farm please contact the office and we will connect you with a tester.
If this date does not work for you please contact the office so we can find you another date in a surrounding county or have the tester come to you!

TODAY is the LAST day to identify your animals in 4-H Online! ALL animals MUST be identified. If they are not identified in 4-H Online they will not elgible to show at the Sioux County Youth Fair or the Iowa State Fair!
