**Today we wrapped up our final session with the sub-committees of the New Global Reformed Assembly. We've been in a time of reflection, exploration, and discernment as we shape the direction of the new governance structure in the Reformed Church in America. It's inspiring to see leaders committed to dreaming about a new future for our denomination. The future is here and it's now, and we're taking action to build a Church that's more passionate and committed as we move forward with the middle assemblies in our denomination.**

Third day of mission: Ordinations in Nbini and Kogo

On the morning of the third day, the team traveled to Nbini, a challenging region in Equatorial Guinea.
We encountered a church with many material needs, but once again —just like in Malabo— we were welcomed with the same deep love and passionate desire to serve the Lord.

Upon our arrival, we were joyfully surprised: they greeted us at the entrance with palm branches, a traditional way to express joy and hospitality.
We truly felt welcomed!

On this special day, we celebrated the ordination of Pastor Ernesto Micha Ndong Akeng, a sacred moment filled with gratitude and hope. Together, we worshiped, shared the Word, prayed, and celebrated God’s faithfulness in the midst of hardship.

We also visited the pastoral house and several churches in the region that are currently abandoned.
Nbini is a place where preaching the Gospel is a daily challenge, and continuing in ministry requires genuine acts of faith, due to the lack of resources, support, and basic conditions.
Yet their faith remains alive—and that challenges and inspires us deeply.

In the afternoon, we visited a church in the community of Kogo, where we had the honor of ordaining Pastor Cirilo Manga Ndong Akeng.
We were welcomed by a community full of joy, enthusiasm, and passion for the Lord.

The children worshiped with contagious fervor, and the entire congregation reflected genuine joy and a deep desire to praise God with all their hearts.
It was a time of celebration, fellowship, and hope.

The Kingdom continues to advance… even in places where few go, where few look, but where Christ is present—sustaining and building His people.

Second Day of Mission: Meeting in Bata

After a powerful beginning in Malabo, the team traveled to the city of Bata, located on the mainland region of Equatorial Guinea.

On this day, we had the privilege of meeting with the Executive Committee of the Evangelical Reformed Church of Equatorial Guinea. It was a fraternal space, filled with purpose, shared vision, and a deep sense of unity in Christ.

We spoke about the present and the future. We shared experiences, dreams, and challenges. And above all, we confirmed that God is opening doors for a transformative collaboration between our churches — in pastoral formation, leadership development, mission, and the expansion of the Kingdom.

This connection is no coincidence. It is the fruit of prayers, conversations, and a vision that is growing on both sides of the ocean.
The Reformed Church continues to move forward in Africa!

“It won’t happen in a day… but one day it will happen.”

That was the phrase Rev. Dr. Fabio Sosa shared with them four years ago, when the first conversations about a possible mission in Equatorial Guinea began. He spoke honestly: it would be difficult; it would take time… but he also assured them that one day it would happen.

And that day has come.

This Sunday, at the Reformed Church in Malabo, pastored by the beloved Rev. Genaro Obama Engonga, we witnessed how God fulfills promises planted in faith.
The very first thing they said when they met with our team was:
“It won’t happen in a day… but one day it will happen.”

That word was kept in their hearts. Today, it became life, it became joy, it became mission.

This church has served its community for many years.
With a history marked by service, faithfulness, and commitment, it has impacted countless lives through the preaching of the Gospel, support for families, and an active presence amid the social realities of Malabo.

While we noticed many material needs and structural challenges, what touched us the most was their deep love for Christ, their passion to bring hope to their people, and the devotion with which they serve God’s Kingdom, day after day, with what they have and with all their heart.

Every hug, every prayer, every act of hospitality reminded us that the true strength of a church is not found in its resources, but in its passion for the Gospel and its commitment to others.

During the service:
• We celebrated Holy Communion,
• We baptized children and adults,
• We witnessed the confirmation of new believers,
• We worshiped and rejoiced as one family in Christ.

It was a time full of gratitude and God’s presence.
What once was a vision is now a reality.
Thank you for every prayer… the mission continues!

The team has arrived in Africa! Mission underway in Equatorial Guinea.

With grateful hearts, we announce that Armando, Rick, and Fabio—our team from the Executive Committee of the International Classis of Texas and the Heartland Regional Synod—have arrived safely in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, after a long day of travel.

Today marks the beginning of a week of mission, fellowship, and eternal purpose. From this corner of the African continent, the Reformed Church continues to move forward, taking bold steps to equip, strengthen, and walk alongside the leaders and ministries who are transforming their communities through the power of the Gospel.

We ask for your fervent prayers for this mission. May the Holy Spirit guide them in every encounter, fill them with wisdom and grace, and may the name of Jesus be exalted in every place where they minister. May every word, every embrace, and every prayer be a seed of life and hope!

“And you will be my witnesses… to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

God is doing something great in Equatorial Guinea, and we are honored to be part of it!

Last Day of the Connections Gathering 🇦🇷 | A Closing Filled with Glory, Emotion, and Eternal Purpose

We’re still processing everything we experienced…
The final day of the Conexiones Gathering was simply unforgettable. We received powerful, life-giving words, we were deeply ministered to, and we celebrated a truly special moment: the International Classis of Texas ordained six new ministers. What a beautiful privilege and sacred responsibility!

The day concluded with Holy Communion, in an atmosphere of worship, gratitude, and deep emotion. It was the perfect ending to days that will forever be engraved in the hearts of all who were part of this journey.

These were days of deep spiritual renewal.
Pastors and leaders arrived from different parts of Argentina, Chile, and Brazil, bringing with them not only their presence, but also their passion, strength, love for the Church, and a burning desire to serve. They left us with teachings, hugs, tears, and shared dreams.

We left with far more than we gave.
Their dedication, fellowship, and faith continue to inspire us to press on with this work—one that was born in the heart of God and now unites us in a shared vision of expansion, unity, and transformation.

Thank You, Lord, for these days. Thank You for every life touched.
We keep moving forward!

Day 5 in Buenos Aires | Day 2 of the Connections Gathering 🇦🇷
What an extraordinary day we experienced!
The second day of the Connections Gathering was deeply impactful. God’s presence was not only felt—it was real and tangible in every moment.
We laughed, we cried, we prayed, and we were edified. The women gathered in a beautiful time of communion, healing, and purpose. Meanwhile, the men came together in a sincere space where they shared their experiences, concerns, and matters of the heart.
We received a living word, we were trained, inspired, and challenged. Every conversation, every embrace, every look, and every moment of fellowship left an unforgettable mark on our hearts.
That day, friendships were born, unity was strengthened, and we all sensed that something much greater is taking shape—something from heaven that is shaping both our present and our future.

We ask for prayers for Rev. Genaro Obama, pastor of one of our churches in Equatorial Guinea, Africa.
Today, his mother and older brother passed away in a tragic car accident.
Let us pray that the Lord will embrace his heart and the hearts of his entire family with His love and strengthen them in the midst of this painful time.
