Went to visit the brand new Tucson Creative Reuse and spent more than five hours there! Misa has such an inviting space with room to sit and explore. I sat at the textile table for at least a couple of those handful of hours! The textile table: a place set up to experience many different types of touch, all to explore at once. This space presented such a meditative and peaceful experience for me. The live piano music in the background offered that additional something that soothed my soul even more. I’m sure I splurged way more than I should have in that one spot, but the therapy alone was worth it!

Today I’m sharing the first completed draft of something I’ve been quietly working on.

It isn’t just a booklet or a how-to. It’s the story of where Desert Dame & wee has been, where it’s going, and why this next chapter matters so much to me.

Because a formal announcement was never made when the storefront closed, this section of the larger booklet also serves as that announcement.

Thank you for being part of our beginning. I can’t wait to share what we discover through the next doorway.

Working on a line of stickers today. This has turned into quite the project, and I’ve only just begun.

My goal is to preserve the vintage milk caps in my collection exactly as they exist today, complete with decades of wear, stains, staple marks, fading, and all. Then I add words, phrases, and my personal favorite: Dating in Dairyland: The Milk Cap Personals.

Here are a few of the first designs. I’d love to hear your favorites, your interpretations, and any caption ideas you think belong on future caps.
