St. Landry-Evangeline Sexual Assault Center (SLESAC) would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to United Way of St. Landry-Evangeline for their generous donation of items for survivors of sexual assault served by our agency. 💙

Your kindness and generosity help us provide comfort, dignity, and hope to survivors during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Donations such as personal care items, clothing, and care packages make a meaningful difference and remind survivors that they are not alone.

As Sexual Assault Awareness Month comes to a close, we reflect on a month filled with strength, courage, and community. 💜

Through every Teal Tuesday, every conversation, and every act of support—you showed survivors that they are not alone.

And as we close out this month, we carry with us the powerful moments from our 23rd Annual Take Back the Night March & Candlelight Vigil. 🕯️ These photos are more than memories—they are proof of what happens when a community comes together for the greater good.

In those moments, we saw healing.
We saw unity.
We saw hope.

To everyone who stood with us this month—thank you. Your voice, your presence, and your support matter more than you know.

But our work does not end here.

At St. Landry–Evangeline Sexual Assault Center (SLESAC), we remain committed to providing HELP • HEALING • HOPE—every day, all year long. As long as our community needs us, we will be here. 💜

There’s something powerful that happens when a community comes together for the greater good… 💜🕯️

We saw it firsthand at our 23rd Annual Take Back the Night March & Candlelight Vigil—neighbors standing side by side, voices rising together, and a shared commitment to support survivors and end sexual violence.

Organized by the Saint Landry-Evangeline Sexual Assault Center, the event brought people together for a walk from Opelousas Junior High to the Saint Landry Parish Courthouse, followed by a candelight vigil.
