Opelousas Kiwanis Club

Opelousas Kiwanis Club Meetings are held Thursdays from 12 noon - 1 p.m. at St. Landry Bank Annex, 132 E. Landry St. in Opelousas. What is Kiwanis? Kiwanis is a verb. It’s something you do.

Lots of Kiwanians do it a couple of hours a week - some a lot more. But in all of the doing there is a single purpose in Kiwanis - Service to our communities, especially to benefit the most needy members of our communities. Meetings, sometimes laced with horseplay, accompanied by sometimes mediocre food, laughter - and sometimes tears, build bonds among Kiwanians that strengthen the Team for the t

imes when there is serious community service work to be done. The Kiwanian's time, care, and concern changes the lives of the recipients a little ... or a lot. Kiwanians see the benefit directly, and the benefit is often immediate. That's Kiwanis. It's a VERB!
