🎆🚫 PLEASE SKIP THE FIREWORKS — FOR THEM 🚫🎆
While fireworks may last only minutes for us, their impact on animals can be terrifying, traumatic, and even deadly. 💔🐾
Dogs and cats hear sounds far louder than humans. Explosions in the sky can send them into full panic mode — shaking, crying, escaping yards, injuring themselves, or running away in fear. Every year, shelters see an increase in lost, injured, and frightened pets because of fireworks. 🐶🐱😭
Wildlife suffers silently. Loud booms cause animals to flee their homes, abandoning nests, dens, and babies in pure terror. Many never find their way back. 🦌🌿💔
Birds are especially vulnerable. Fireworks trigger something called “night fright,” causing birds to suddenly take flight in darkness, becoming disoriented and colliding with buildings, trees, and each other. For many, it is fatal. 🐦😞
Our waterways aren’t spared either. Firework debris and chemicals fall into rivers, lakes, and oceans, poisoning aquatic life and damaging fragile ecosystems that animals rely on to survive. 🌊🐟💔
Fireworks don’t just end when the noise stops — their impact lingers long after the sky goes quiet. 🌎
💚 Kindness doesn’t have to be loud.
💚 Celebrate in ways that don’t cause fear or harm.
💚 Choose compassion over fireworks.
Please join us in protecting pets, wildlife, and the planet by skipping fireworks this year. 🌿🐾
