It’s Almost Banquet Time…
I’m praying I can be there. I’ve missed seeing everyone and this is the first time I’ve been out other than to doctors in almost 3 months.
If you can’t come join us live you can watch “live” on this link.
Watch and let me know what you think.
It’s going to be great!

Dear Friends,

Below I have given a report on what’s been going on with my health.
New report is from the Houston Clinic in Columbus this Monday.
I told you I would let you know what the dr said so here it is:

In addition to what I posted before (and I have copied it below for those of you who didn’t know so I don’t have to say it all again),
The dr found that my back is broken in at least 3 places.
I have 2 bone scans and 2 MRI’s scheduled to see if there are any more.
I have osteoporosis, apparently pretty bad.
We have plans for treatment- for the Osteoperosis and for the spine bone breaks.
We will deal with the disc issues after my broken back is taken care of.

Please pray.
This is quite shocking, as again, I haven’t fallen, had an accident or done any lifting, moving or anything else strenuous.

My post on Sept 19:

I posted a picture of of Prudence and I from several years ago….
This precious girl is now 13 and she still brings me such joy.
Our precious times together right now usually happen when she comes upstairs to the guest room where I’m staying…
I’m not here because I choose to be, I have been pretty much bed ridden since July 4.

No, I haven’t been in an accident, haven’t fallen or anything like that- I just woke up one morning and I could barely walk.
I’ve been to several doctors.
I have osteoporosis, arthritis, spinal stenosis, collapsed disc, possible bone spur, and something else I can’t remember.
I’ve had two epidurals, muscle relaxers, anti inflammatory
meds, ice packs, physical therapy, prescribed chiropractor treatments and after all that, I’m not better.
I have had a few days, especially after epidurals when I have felt better and had high hopes, but just a few days then back to the deep constant pain.I’ve tried meds, essential oils, exercises, walking, sitting, got special pillows, lying down, lying with pillows, lying flat…
Not better
Yet!
I went to a neurosurgeon last Monday, he had no answers. He’s a specialized surgeon and he said there was nothing he saw that he could do.
He ordered more blood work.
I’m going to a spinal specialist Monday.
We are praying for wisdom from God to find a solution. We have tried so many “pain relieving” methods, I’m still in pain and I don’t want to just be out of pain. I want solutions.
So please continue to pray for me, for my dear family who is taking good care of me and pray for this dr or for whoever the right one is.
Of course, I would LOVE for Jehovah Rapha, The God who Heals, to touch me with His mighty hand and heal me.
However He chooses, I trust Him.

I want to do a “Names of Jesus” ornament project with the Hosanna Home ladies for Christmas.
They will each need 20 ornaments. We will also need colored sharpies, ribbon/twine, hot glue / hot glue guns, e6000 and assorted beads to thread onto the ribbon.

Here are the unfinished, wooded ornaments we want to use and I’ll need about 500 ( we want a couple of sets for the house, each lady and kids, and allow for “mishaps”).

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Please mail to Hosanna Home on our Amazon wish list or

This week we were so thankful to host Sweat Week at Hosanna Home.
This is the youth from Auburn United Methodist Church and they are awesome!!!

Unfortunately, because about 2 weeks ago my back went out, I heave been flat on my back at home on our couch, so I wasn’t able to go out to Hosanna Home at all while they were there- but
my staff, ladies and husband gave a. Great report!!!
We had about 6-10 come out Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday to help us with some projects around Hosanna Home.
And wow did they help!!!
We have been working on our dining room. It’s been a big project.
This last touch was ripping out and replacing the old carpet with new carpet squares.
What a beautiful difference it made!!!
This group and a few of our Hosanna Home ladies did the entire floor in 1 day!!!
They spent the next two days putting the dining room back Together, washing ALL our Hosanna Home vehicles and all of our 140 windows!!!
To say we are grateful is an understatement!
This small group of teenagers- with other fun things they could be doing- spent 3 days helping out a group of ladies and children make their “home” much more beautiful and livable.
They sat for lunch in the dining room
with new blinds, a new air conditioner, and newly laid carpet!!!!
A few of our ladies shared their stories- the testimonies of those newly born again are powerful!
These young kids, with their whole lives ahead of them saw first hand what making the wrong choices starting now can result in.
They also saw what completely giving your life to Christ can change -
Your attitude, your thinking, your actions, your beliefs about yourself and about God, and your LIFE!!!

We love when we have individuals, families, groups, come to Hosanna Home.
We are able to show our ladies in a very tangible way, that belonging to this beautiful eternal family is a beautiful and good thing.
And we very gratefully accept this help to keep our 36,000 sq ft building (she’s old- built in 1933) maintained
and in good shape and running order.
It takes all we’ve got and more.

If you have any building, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc… skills we need you!!!

If you would like to come and bring your favorite people with you- we’d LOVE to host you!!

Hosanna Home is beautiful.

We have a big yard where you can join us and. have a picnic, Bible study, game time, or just visit.
We have a food truck and a fantastic BBQ sandwich King (my own Rick Hagans) and we would be more than
Happy (the ladies would be ecstatic!) if you would come and let us feed you in Thanks!

We have a fire pit which is perfect in those cooler evenings for praise and worship and sharing times.

We have a tree house, built by our good friends, Crazy Dave and Herbie that will comfortably seat up to 20 people.
Come see us!!!
Call me at. 334-740-1645 and let’s set it up!!!

Today a friend and professional HVAC contractor came to Hosanna Home with a brand new Air-conditioning unit for our Dining Room.
The old unit was just done and Chris had worked on it as much as he could and it was just not able to do its job anymore.
Even with new blinds it was not going to keep the dining room at a temperature other than “sweat lodge” range.
The Hosanna Home ladies didn’t complain, but Chris and his wonderful wife, Nicole, made the decision to personally purchase and install a brand new unit for us.
This “donation“ gift of their finances, the equipment, time, labor and love is a gift that we will be benefiting from for a very long time.
Every lady who comes in our doors will hear and then repeat the story of these two long time friends of Pastor
Rick and Ms Kim. A family who moved to Alabama from New York. Who came to visit with us at Hosanna Home a few months ago- and brought handmade NY style pizza and themselves. Who have spent time with and loved on our ladies and children. And who after trying as hard as he could to fix an old problem, decided (was led by our Father) to just go ahead and give/do what it took to fix it.
This is the best kind of gifts. The most treasured kind of donation.
When someone who takes time to get to know what our needs are and just jumps on in and decides to “take care of it.”
Not everyone can pay for an entire new air conditioner or provide all the materials for a whole project.
But some can. Others can give some.
Not everybody can come in and have the time, experience and knowledge to install an appliance or other needed installation work.
But some can. Others can help and work with a team to get it done.

What about you? Your church? Your Carpenters for Christ team?
Your Family? Your friend group?

Hosanna Home is in a 36,000 square foot, single level building- built in 1933. It’s strong, but it requires A LOT of maintaining work and money.
Upkeep is costly, it takes know how, and it is necessary. We have 4 other staff and family dwellings (2 tiny houses and 2 trailers) that also need upkeep.

It’s hard to imagine.
So,what if you didn’t have to.
Imagine that is.
What if you could come and se for yourself? What if you could personally walk these long hallways? Or look thru some of our almost 150 rotting old wood encased, multi-paned windows that we can’t open because they might fall apart so they’re painted shut? What if you could walk across our driveway to the couple of acres the city gave us-and you could envision in addition to a great treehouse a friend built for us there, some tiny houses or trailers for staff and graduates - but we don’t have the machinery to clear the trees we’d need to or level the steep grade that would be needed to get vehicles and supplies down there. We don’t have the funds to buy or build these living spaces for ladies who are taking the next transitional step toward learning to live on their own. We dont have the man (or woman) power and know how to build or set them up.
What if you could…?
Well you CAN!!!
Just give me a call- private message me and tell me you want to come visit Hosanna Home. We can set up that time. You can bring your friends or group with you.
First of all- pray for us.
Then get to know us. Ask God what you could do for us or who you know who you could share with about us.
It does indeed take us all.
And come see us- get to know us.

Chris and Nicole Cosentino aren’t wealthy- he owns his own small business (Masters Mind HVAC). They just came, they saw, they prayed, they heard, they made the decision and they gave of their resources and their time and the labor of their hands.
And we have a room that is at this very moment, cooling down and being used by women who love to worship, and study, and eat and gather together- learning how to love Jesus and each other and how to live life.

For this, and for all of you who pray, give and live us at Hosanna Home, we are grateful.
We thank you and we pray that God will meet the needs of your life.

This was a memory that came up from 4 years ago.
Our beautiful Summer is loving her best life!
Since she’s graduated she has gone to
a transition home, gotten married, works at our Harvest Thrift Store, and is so full of Joy and Jesus!!!
When I posted the following back then, we were looking forward at what God was doing in her while she was in the Hosanna Home program.
Now we look and see what God has done and is continuing to do.
She is daily “Becoming” more and more like Jesus and who He has designed her to Become!!!

When our ladies come in their eyes are as empty and wounded as their hearts.
As the word and love of God begins to heal and fill there’s a change, a visible change.
Do you see the life in these eyes???
This is the work of God and it is stunning and breathtaking
EVERY
SINGLE
TIME!!
Look in the mirror- what do your eyes say about what’s happening inside you?
