Psalm 119:89

“For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.”

God’s word is not subject to change or uncertainty. His promises and teachings are as permanent as the heavens themselves. We can rely on God’s word in every aspect of life. It is our foundation in times of joy and sorrow, in uncertainties and decisions. He is our covenant keeping God Whose Word is to be trusted and Whose character is faithful and true of all that He has spoken. Heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word of God shall never pass away.

Luke 21:34

“Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.”

This verse reminds us
to be vigilant and guard against being weighed down by indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries, which can dull spiritual awareness and readiness for Christ's return. We need to understand the importance of maintaining a focus on spiritual matters to avoid being caught off guard by unexpected events. We must be diligent and consistently evaluate our priorities, ensuring they align with God’s desires for us. We are encouraged to enjoy life fully while never losing sight of our responsibilities as believers. We can embrace celebrations and friendships, but maintaining our focus and not allowing those activities to lead us away from God is crucial. We should pursue a lifestyle that honors Him and reflects His goodness. Knowing that Christ could return at any time encourages us to live intentionally. Staying spiritually prepared positions us to respond confidently when that glorious Day arrives.

John 1:14

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of graceand truth.”

By becoming flesh, Jesus was able to experience our world firsthand. He walked among us, felt our struggles, and understood our joys. This is vital because it means we can relate to Him on a personal level. Jesus knows what it is like to be human.

2 Timothy 1:14

“Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.”

“As we walk in the knowledge of who we are in Christ, we can protect the message and the mission given to us with courage and perseverance. Let the Holy Spirit guide our hearts and renew our minds.”

Proverbs 17:18

“One without sense enters an agreement
and puts up security for his friend.”

When we lend our support, whether emotionally or financially, caution is wise. We may find ourselves in tough situations if our help backfires. In many cases, we may want to assist friends or neighbors in need, but we must ask ourselves: Is this truly beneficial for both parties? It encourages us to think deeply about what’s at stake when we sign such pledges or agreements.

Nahum 1:3

“The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet.”

God patiently withholds wrath, wields limitless power, guarantees justice, commands the forces of nature, and towers in unrivaled majesty. For the humble, these verses provide comfort—our covenant Lord is both merciful and mighty. For the rebellious, they issue a sober warning—escape lies only in His offered grace, never in resisting His rule.

Hebrews 11:1

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

“Hebrews 11:1 is not a memory verse. It is a weapon and a foundation.
The author of Hebrews gave his suffering readers — Jewish believers on the edge of walking away from Jesus Christ — the most precise, powerful, legally grounded definition of faith means that has ever been written.
Substance (hypostasis) — the title deed to things hoped for.Evidence (elengchos) — the courtroom proof of things not seen.
Not a leap in the dark. Not positive thinking. Not sincerity without proof. A full confidence, grounded in God’s word, God’s faithfulness, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ — the Messiah who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
That is what the writer of Hebrews wrote. That is what the biblical definition of faith means.
And it is yours to hold — right now, as a believer in Jesus Christ — by the grace of God.”
