When Lwara lost her mother at six and her father years later, her life changed in ways no child should have to face.

Her stepmother found her a school where she could learn, make friends, and feel welcome. But when Lwara had to return to her grandparents, their financial struggles put her education and stability at risk.

Thankfully, her school was part of Child Impact's sponsorship program. Lwara received sponsorship, allowing her to stay in school and continue living in the dormitory.

Her story shows what sponsorship can provide: not just education, but stability, a safe place to live, and the chance for a child to keep moving forward when life changes.

For $32 or $45 a month, you can support a day or boarding student and become a steady presence in a child's life.

Yet for millions of girls, childhood can be interrupted by poverty, abuse, exploitation, and child marriage. These experiences can take away opportunities to learn, grow, and build a future of their own.

International Day of the Girl Child reminds us of the importance of protecting girls, upholding their rights, and creating opportunities for them to thrive.

At Child Impact, we work to protect vulnerable children from exploitation while providing education and safe, supportive environments where they can grow and look toward a different future.

Girls deserve more than survival.
They deserve safety.

Child Impact International is seeking a full-time receptionist for our home office on the campus of Southern Adventist University. Our current receptionist has accepted another position within the organization, creating an opportunity for someone new to join our team.

This position requires living near our headquarters and includes a competitive salary and benefits. Most importantly, you’ll become part of a mission dedicated to serving the world’s most vulnerable children.

Our Child Impact Brazil team has equipped more than 7,000 children and adults to recognize abuse and know where to turn for help.

But knowing where to turn is only the beginning.

When a child is removed from danger, they need more than a way out. They need somewhere safe to go, where they can begin to heal, feel protected, and know they are not alone.

That is why we are building the Amazon Rescue Campus, a safe haven for children who have nowhere else to turn.

Everyone has a teacher they remember.

Maybe it was the teacher who believed in you when you doubted yourself, stayed a little longer to help, or said something you carried with you long after you left the classroom.

Today, we celebrate those teachers and the difference they make in a child’s life.

We are especially grateful for the teachers serving children across 11 countries at our sponsorship partner schools. Through education, they help create safe spaces where children can learn, grow, build confidence, and see possibilities for their future.

For children who face poverty and the risk of exploitation, access to education can be life-changing.

Every child deserves a safe place to heal, learn, and dream.

At Riverside Farms in Zambia, two dormitories now provide a safe home for 210 girls rescued through Operation Child Rescue.

When the program first began, only 36 girls were living in a rented dormitory. Through the generosity of supporters who believed in their future, the campus was able to expand and create a place where more girls could receive care, education, and the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

Behind every number is a story. Every girl represents a life transformed, a future restored, and a hope renewed.

For girls entering Riverside Farm Secondary School through Operation Child Rescue, those first months are filled with new experiences, new opportunities, and a community committed to helping them succeed.

From essential supplies to medical care and mental health support, every part of the program is designed to help each girl feel prepared for the journey ahead.
