Orphaned at a young age and moved from home to home, Martha eventually ended up in a place that was supposed to keep her safe but instead left her vulnerable to harm. She was just a girl with no one to turn to.

Then everything changed.

Kind-hearted people visited, heard her story, and offered her a sponsorship. For the first time, she had access to education, nutritious meals, and a safe place to grow and heal.

Today, she is in high school, carrying the weight of her past but also a fierce determination to overcome it.

Only one out of 100 people is ever rescued from human trafficking. She was one of them.

Women and girls account for 71% of all trafficking victims (UNODC), and many are lured by the promise of work or a better life, only to be taken far from everyone they know.

But behind every statistic is a precious life. When one family cried out for help, Child Impact's partners worked alongside authorities to trace the call and bring their loved one safely home.

Today, she is reunited with her family, surrounded by love, and beginning again.

A few years ago, Ratul was walking outside campus with a friend when he noticed a blind man who looked weak and hungry.

Ratul didn’t have much himself, but he reached into his pocket and gave the man 10 taka, less than a penny, so he could buy food.

It was a small act of kindness, but it says so much about the person Ratul is becoming. 💛
