🌪️ Tornado Watch #330 Summary

⏰ Valid: 6:05 PM – 11:00 PM CDT (Saturday, June 13)

📍 Areas Included:

* Northwest Arkansas
* Far Southwest Missouri
* North-Central Oklahoma
* Northeast Oklahoma

⚠️ Main Threats:

* 🌪️ A few tornadoes are possible, including one or two potentially intense tornadoes.
* 💨 Damaging wind gusts up to 75 mph.
* 🧊 Large hail up to 2.5 inches (about tennis-ball size).

🌩️ What to Expect:
Supercell thunderstorms developing along an outflow boundary this evening could produce:

* Very large hail
* Damaging straight-line winds
* A few tornadoes, especially where storms remain along the boundary as wind shear increases. Forecasters note that a strong tornado is possible.

✈️ Aviation Hazards:

* Severe turbulence
* Hail up to 2.5 inches
* Wind gusts up to 65 knots (75 mph)
* Thunderstorm tops reaching around 60,000 feet

Bottom Line

This is a high-end tornado watch, not just a routine one. If you’re anywhere within the watch area—especially across northeast Oklahoma or northwest Arkansas—keep multiple ways to receive warnings and be prepared to move to shelter quickly if a Tornado Warning is issued. The greatest concern through this evening is supercells capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and a few strong tornadoes.

Mesoscale Discussion 0945 Summary

Issued: 6:19 PM CDT, June 1, 2026
Area: Northeast Oklahoma

* A stalled outflow boundary is stretching across northeast Oklahoma, helping spark isolated thunderstorms near the Tulsa and Mayes County areas.
* The atmosphere is extremely unstable, meaning storms can rapidly intensify.
* However, wind shear is weak, making it difficult for storms to organize into long-lived severe thunderstorms.
* The main threats are:
* Hail up to 1.25 inches
* Wind gusts up to 60 mph
* Frequent lightning and heavy rain
* Some storms may briefly become severe, but widespread severe weather is not expected.
* A brief tornado cannot be ruled out, especially where storms interact with the outflow boundary, but the tornado threat remains very low.
* Tulsa has already received reports of 1-inch hail from an earlier storm.

SPC Bottom Line

✅ Thunderstorms may become briefly strong to severe.
✅ Isolated hail and gusty winds are the primary concerns.
⚠️ A brief tornado is possible but unlikely.
❌ A Severe Thunderstorm or Tornado Watch is not expected (5% watch probability).

For Northwest Rogers County: Keep an eye on any storms that develop along the boundary this evening, especially if they move out of the Tulsa area. While widespread severe weather isn’t anticipated, a stronger storm could still produce hail, strong winds, and a brief spin-up. 🌩️🌪️
