❤️ A Dream Come True for Betty! 🎤🎶

Through our Beyond the Bucket List program, we recently had the privilege of making a very special dream come true!

Many years ago, Betty came to the United States with one goal in mind… to marry Elvis Presley! ❤️

Naturally, when we heard her story, we knew exactly what we had to do! We brought Elvis to Betty! 🎸

What followed was an afternoon filled with music, laughter, dancing, and unforgettable memories!

We were absolutely thrilled when we heard the feedback. We were told this was the most fun event the facility had hosted in five years! That means the world to us!

A huge thank you to our wonderful board member Tammy Thompson for introducing us to Betty and helping make this event possible. We would also like to thank Marisa, the Activity Director at Summit Corners in Macedonia, for helping bring everything together!

At Love's Reflection, we believe it's never too late to experience a little magic, make a dream come true, or remind someone just how special they are.

🧡Nash: Forever Loved, Forever Remembered

When we learned that three-month-old Nash had unexpectedly passed away, we knew we wanted to surround his family with **love in action**.

Through our **Portraits of Love** program, this portrait of Nash was created as a lasting reminder of a beautiful little boy who will forever be loved and remembered.

May it bring his family a little comfort and remind them that Nash’s love will always be with them.

💙🧡 **Our goal was 500 cards. Our community delivered nearly 2,000.** 💙🧡

For Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we set out with a simple goal: collect 500 cards filled with encouragement, kindness, and love for children who need it most.

Let’s just say… **our community absolutely blew me away.**

Five schools participated. Local businesses joined in. Children, adults, families, and even people from other states took the time to make cards. Nearly **2,000 handwritten reminders that these children are loved, supported, and never alone.**

I had the privilege of reading through most of them, and it was genuinely one of the most touching experiences I’ve had. The amount of love, thought, and kindness poured into these cards was incredible.

To every single person who made a card, organized a group, involved a classroom, shared our request, or helped in any way: **thank you from the bottom of my heart.** 💙🧡

You didn't just make a card. You helped us put **love into action.**

These children are going to light up in a HUGE way! 💙🧡

**500 was the goal.
Nearly 2,000 was the response.
That’s what love can do.**

One Last Haircut ❤

Our friend Annie, who is currently in hospice, had one simple wish: **one last haircut.** Because she was unable to leave her home in Ashland, Ohio, we knew we had to find a way to bring that experience to her.

That’s when our newest volunteer, Deni, stepped in. She made the drive from Northeast Ohio to Annie’s home, not just to give her a haircut, but to spend time with her and make her feel special.

Our board member Tammy joined her, bringing even more love, laughter, and support to help brighten Annie’s day. They spent several hours together, and Annie was all smiles.

Deni and Tammy are beautiful examples of what **love in action** looks like. Sometimes making a difference means simply showing up, giving your time, and making sure someone knows just how loved they are.

Thank you, Deni, for going above and beyond. Thank you, Tammy, for being there to share even more love and support. And most importantly, thank you, Annie, for allowing Love’s Reflection to be a true reflection of love for you. ❤️

A Home Run for Benjamin ⚾❤️

Recently, we had the privilege of meeting a very special 6-year-old boy named Benjamin who is battling leukemia.

After reviewing Benjamin’s Love Beyond Words questionnaire, one thing became very clear: **this boy LOVES the Cleveland Guardians!** So many of his answers revolved around baseball and his favorite team that we knew exactly what we needed to do.

We reached out to the Cleveland Guardians, shared Benjamin’s story, and they were immediately on board to help us create a special experience for him.

Benjamin and his family were able to attend a Guardians game together, and during the fourth inning, the team surprised the entire family with goodie bags to make the night even more memorable.

We are incredibly honored that Love’s Reflection could help create this experience for Benjamin and his family. And we are so grateful to the Cleveland Guardians for opening their hearts and helping us give this little boy something every child deserves: **a day where the illness takes a back seat and being a kid comes first.**

❤️ **A Simple Wish: One More Haircut**

We have a woman on hospice in **Ashland, Ohio**, and right now, one of her wishes is something many of us might take for granted: **she would love to have her hair cut one more time.**

We are looking for a **kindhearted hairstylist** who would be willing to travel to her residence in Ashland and give her that gift.

Sometimes love in action doesn’t have to be something big. Sometimes it’s simply helping someone feel cared for, beautiful, and special when it matters most.

❤️ A Portrait of Love

After Steve and Marissa lost their beloved bird, Hans, Love’s Reflection wanted to give them something that would keep his memory close.

Through our Portraits of Love program, we had a custom painting created of Steve and Marissa with Hans right where his story with them began, perched on Steve’s shoulder.

Their words below remind us why this program means so much. Sometimes love can’t take away the loss, but it can make sure the memories live on. ❤️

**From Steve & Marissa:**

“Recently, my wife and I lost our beloved bird, Hans. Hans wasn’t just a bird; he was a cherished member of our family. We rescued him in Ohio after he flew onto my shoulder, seeking a loving, safe home. Thankfully, that’s exactly what he found.

Hans went everywhere with us, moving from Ohio to Indiana and then back home to Michigan, with many vacations and adventures along the way. Losing him was incredibly difficult, but knowing that Love’s Reflection thought of us during such a painful time made us feel genuinely supported and cared for. Their thoughtfulness meant more to us than we can put into words.

We are deeply grateful to Love’s Reflection for their kindness and for their important mission of bringing light into people’s lives during some of their darkest times. Their compassion and generosity provides comfort when it is needed most, and we are truly thankful for the meaningful work they do.

They captured the beauty and spirit that made Hans so special, and the portrait is something we will cherish forever. It will always be a beautiful reminder of Hans and the love, happiness, and beauty he brought into the lives of everyone he encountered.”

I had the honor of joining Allan Staple on The Staple Crew YouTube show to share a story that is incredibly close to my heart.

We talked about my journey and some of the experiences that completely changed the way I look at life. We also talked about why I started Love’s Reflection, the work we’re doing to bring love into some of life’s darkest moments, and most importantly, we shared Brielle’s story and our continued mission to help find her a kidney donor. ❤️

A huge thank you to Allan Staple for inviting me on and giving me the opportunity to share these stories and the mission behind Love’s Reflection.

Every opportunity to tell Brielle’s story creates another opportunity for the right person to hear it. And every opportunity to talk about Love’s Reflection is another chance to remind people what can happen when we choose to put love into action.

👟 **Looking to Help Some Local Kids** ❤️

My brother has a number of really nice, gently worn shoes he would love to give to kids who could use them. Sizes are **8.5 and 9.5**, and many are **Cole Haan**.

We’d especially love to get these into the hands of students who may not currently have a nice, comfortable pair of shoes to wear to school.

If a child or teenager comes to mind, please **send me a private message**. We want to handle this quietly and respectfully and make sure the shoes find their way to someone who could truly use them.
