Through our Love Beyond Words program, we recently had the honor of helping make our first official dream come true for an incredible young lady named London Hamilton.

We first met London and her family at our Love In Action Day event. From the moment I met her, I felt a special connection. There was something about her spirit, her strength, and her smile that stayed with me long after the event ended. A few days later, I felt nudged to send her mom, Carley, a friend request on Facebook.

About a month ago, I came across a post Carley had shared. She had asked London a simple question: "If you could do anything this summer, what would it be?"

London's answer was just as simple.

"Stay in an RV by the water."

The moment I read those words, I knew we had to make it happen.

You see, London is no ordinary 13-year-old. At just 9 years old, she was diagnosed with cancer. Since then, she has endured 14 rounds of chemotherapy, a month of radiation, blood infections, multiple broken bones, severe radiation burns, and even lost her ability to walk. Through every challenge, she has continued to fight with a strength and determination that inspires everyone around her.

This past weekend, London and her family spent three nights living out her dream in a brand-new fifth wheel campsite right on the water. We also had the opportunity to take her family out on our houseboat, where we made memories that will stay with us forever.

What impacted us most wasn't the RV or the boat. It was getting to know London. Her courage, resilience, and positive spirit remind us what is possible when someone refuses to give up. By the end of the weekend, she had transformed into both a fisherwoman and a boat captain!

At Love's Reflection, Love Beyond Words exists to create meaningful experiences for children facing extraordinary challenges. Sometimes the dream isn't a trip across the country. Sometimes it's simply staying in an RV by the water with the people you love most.

We are incredibly grateful to have met London and her family. They have already left a lasting mark on our hearts. We look forward to spending more time together as the years unfold. We are also thankful that Carley has graciously offered to volunteer with Love's Reflection, helping other families navigate challenges that she understands all too well.

The world is changed one act of love at a time. This weekend was a reminder that sometimes the smallest dreams create the biggest memories.

This is what love in action looks like.

This is Love Beyond Words. 🧡🩵🧡🩵

💙 Beyond The Bucket List – A Journey Home 💙

Not every dream is about adventure.

Sometimes, the most meaningful wish is the chance to heal a relationship, make peace, and find closure.

Recently, Love's Reflection was honored to help reunite a father and son who had been separated for decades. With time running short, we arranged transportation so they could be together one last time, share their hearts, and say the words that mattered most.

We are deeply grateful to have played a small part in this special journey. Moments like these remind us that some wishes aren't about places to go or things to do—they're about love, forgiveness, and the healing of a heart.

We will never forget the privilege of helping a family write one final chapter together. 💙🧡

❤️ Introducing Beyond the Bucket List ❤️

At Love's Reflection, we believe some dreams are simply too important to go unfulfilled.

That is why we are proud to officially introduce **Beyond the Bucket List — For the Dreams Still Waiting to Be Lived.**

This program was created for hospice patients and seniors facing the end of life's journey. While many people think of a bucket list as a list of things to do before you die, we see it differently. Beyond the Bucket List is about creating moments of joy, connection, comfort, and love when they are needed most. It is about bringing light to life's hardest moments and reminding people they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.

This week, we had the honor of hosting our very first Beyond the Bucket List event.

We learned about a woman in Crawford County receiving hospice care who has been a lifelong Elvis Presley fan. With only a limited amount of time remaining, we wanted to help create a memory she and her family would never forget.

🎤 "Love Me Tender" 🎤

Together, we brought in an Elvis impersonator to perform for her and the residents at Orchard Park Assisted Living. What followed was an afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, singing, tears, and memories. It was emotional, beautiful, and a powerful reminder that sometimes the greatest gift we can give is simply a moment of happiness.

A special thank you to **Orchard Park Assisted Living** for helping make this event possible and for embracing our mission so wholeheartedly.

We would also like to recognize two incredible Love's Reflection volunteers, **Susan Holtry** and **Jerry**, who generously gave their time and hearts to help make the day so special.

This is only the beginning.

As we continue growing Beyond the Bucket List, our goal is simple: to help create meaningful experiences for seniors and hospice patients whose dreams are still waiting to be lived.

Because no matter how much time someone has left, there is always room for one more smile, one more memory, and one more act of love.

Love’s Reflection had the opportunity to partner with Elizabeth’s House of Grace and collected food for homeless individuals, sobriety houses, and families facing hunger in our community. Elizabeth’s House of Grace is currently delivering upwards of 1,700 meals every week, and what they are doing is truly inspiring.
Their mission aligns perfectly with what Love’s Reflection is all about: serving others with compassion, humility, and unconditional love.
We are incredibly grateful to have connected with such an amazing organization, and this is only the beginning. Stay tuned for more updates on what our two nonprofits will be doing together to help those in need. ❤️

Today, we want to shine a light on someone very special: our volunteer spotlight, Maddie. 🧡💙
Recently, Maddie took 25 Love’s Reflection gift bags with her during her Miss Ohio tour and shared them with children at a local school. Inside each bag was a simple reminder:
“You are seen. You are beautiful. You are loved.”
What happened next touched all of our hearts. A few of the children became emotional because they shared they didn’t have toys at home. In that moment, we were reminded why Love’s Reflection exists.
This mission has never been about “things.”
It’s about making people feel seen.
It’s about reminding children they matter.
It’s about showing love through action.
Maddie, thank you for carrying the heart of Love’s Reflection wherever you go. Your kindness, compassion, and willingness to serve others are making a real difference in this world. You are the kind of person who brings light into the lives of others simply by showing up with love.
As you continue your journey toward Miss Ohio, please know we are all cheering you on. We truly believe your heart, character, and passion for helping others make you a winner already, but we also have a feeling you are bringing that crown home. 👑✨
The world needs more people like Maddie.
And the world needs more love in action.

After many months of planning, we officially kicked off our partnership with Akron Children’s Hospital — and the day could not have gone any better. 🧡💙

What we witnessed on Sunday was far more than just an event. It was a day filled with smiles, laughter, connection, and unconditional love. Seeing these incredible children and their families experience joy, even if only for a few hours, is something we will never forget.

We want every family we serve to know this:
You are seen.
You are loved.
And you are not alone.

A huge thank you to all of the volunteers, vendors, board members, police officers, firefighters, and everyone who helped make this day possible. Your kindness and compassion created moments these families will carry with them forever.

Most importantly, thank you to the brave children and families who trusted us enough to spend the day with us. You are the reason behind everything we do.

And finally, thank you to Akron Children’s Hospital for believing in our mission and helping us become a bridge to the families who need love and support the most.

We also want to give a special thank you to our volunteer photographer, Laura Sifferlin, for beautifully capturing so many meaningful moments from the day. 📸 If you’d like to support her work, please check out her page here:

What happened on Sunday was only the beginning. Love’s Reflection is committed to continuing to show up for these families, to walk beside them, and to remind them they never have to face these journeys alone. 🧡💙

🦇 Not all heroes wear capes…
…but this one did.

Shoutout to my brother, Alex Smith.

Sponsor. Volunteer. Batman.

He pulled up in a convertible, suited up, and gave these kids a moment they’ll never forget—smiles, laughter, and pure joy for families who needed it most.

But this wasn’t just for show. This is who Alex is. He leads with heart, shows up for others, and turns love into action.

Proud of you, man.
Those kids didn’t just meet Batman… they met the heart behind the mask.

🖤🧡💙
