June 9, 2026, was a good day for our Community Events team.
We are incredibly grateful for the privilege of serving our Ontario families and bringing some truly fantastic events to life.
Our day kicked off with a burst of energy at Summer Rec, featuring a very special visitor from the Traveling Acres Petting Zoo. To no one's surprise, the adorable fennec fox was a massive hit with the kids!
A huge thank you to Tarin Sturts and our phenomenal student workers. We have some of the hardest-working, kindest teenagers around, and they are absolutely crushing it this week!
Late morning was spent finalizing the MOC Baseball & Softball 8U Tournament schedule. Ontario Youth Sports (OYS) is thrilled to be hosting the 8U Boys and 8U Girls Recreation tournaments this year.
We are excited to welcome over 400 athletes and their families from:
Lexington, Northmor, Clearfork, Madison, Mansfield & Mansfield Christian and, of course, our hometown Warriors!
The complete MOC tournament schedule is now live and can be found online at www.oysports.com.
Planning is officially underway for our annual OYS All-Star Game! While more details are on the way, be sure to clear your calendars and save the date for Friday, June 26th.
Thankful for our baseball and softball commissioners, Dave Stevens and Derek Shafer. Their hard work navigating this season and planning this event is deeply appreciated by everyone involved.
Last night, we hosted eight baseball and softball games. Watching kids play, dad's and mom's coach, grandparents and relatives cheer reminded us of a beautiful truth: youth sports is a little kid’s game, and we should cherish every single minute we get to watch them play.
If you have a moment, stop by Field 2, take a walk along the 3rd base fence line, and check out our brand-new sign!
At 6:00 PM, Mayor Bradley and Councilwoman Rose Fagan joined us on stage to officially kick off our first Summer Concert of the year!
Shoutout to Cory and Daniel for the endless behind-the-scenes work that keeps our parks looking truly world-class.
Echo Canyons took the stage to a really nice crowd and absolutely knocked it out of the park. Fantastic weather, a phenomenal crowd, and a great show!
Shortly after the concert started, we hurried off to our AYSA Soccer meeting, where exciting plans are already taking shape for the Fall Soccer season. Thank you to Mark Yoakam and Nick Eddlebute for help planning a fall season for our soccer families.
At 7:15 PM, we sat down for a Liberty Fest planning meeting, and we could not be more excited for what is in store this year!
Thanks to some incredible community partners, this year's Kids Zone is going to be massive—and entirely free for families!
Thank you to Sluss Realty for generously sponsoring the Kids Zone.
Thank you to our friends at Prestige Tent Rental for donating the inflatables.
A huge hand to Jami and her team, who have worked tirelessly to bring this together.
New Haven Auto Sales has gone above and beyond this year - the Mercedes-Benz is pretty darn cool. Thank you Craig for all your support. Get your raffle tickets asap - someone is gonna win a car!
We are shaking things up this year with a brand-new Laser Show right before the fireworks! Rob Miesse, Mix 106 and their team have some incredibly special elements planned—trust us, this is kind of a big deal.
To cap it all off, at 10:00 PM, the skies over Ontario will light up with one of the best fireworks displays in the region. This is all made possible by the generosity of Dan and Brenda Niss. This family goes above and beyond every single year to help our community make lasting memories. Dan and Brenda, if you are reading this, please know how deeply we appreciate your support.
Big thank you to Rick Timmer, our festival chair, for organizing these details. So many amazing things are in motion, and more details will follow soon—but for now, just know you need to be there!
We are so proud of our town, our volunteers, and our partners. Go Warriors!
See You At The Park!
