Community In Action

10/08/2026

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting an amazing Youth In Action event focused on giving back to our community! Our awesome youth helpers spent the afternoon putting together boo baskets filled with goodies, creativity, and lots of love — all while enjoying plenty of pizza until our bellies were nice and full! 🍕👻

Today, our staff had the privilege of delivering those baskets to a local nursing home, and we were so excited to share a little Halloween cheer with the residents! 🎃💜

The smiles on their faces made all the hard work worth it. 🥰 We are incredibly thankful for our wonderful youth helpers who took the time to make these special gifts and help spread a little joy throughout our community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event so special! We love seeing our youth making a difference and bringing smiles to others.

💙 Community in Action is so grateful for our friends at Horizon Credit Union! 💙

Last week, we had the pleasure of spending a day volunteering side by side with the amazing team at Horizon Credit Union. Together, we were able to get out into our community, provide food and cold water to those in need, and share more about the important work we do here at Community in Action.

We are incredibly thankful that Horizon Credit Union chose Community in Action as the nonprofit they wanted to support through their volunteer day. Their time, energy, and willingness to serve alongside us made a meaningful difference in our community. 🤝

Thank you, Horizon Credit Union, for showing up, getting involved, and helping us continue our mission of serving our neighbors. We truly appreciate you! ❤️
