Pool Noodle Caterpillar Planter πŸ›πŸŒ±πŸŒˆ
A playful garden craft that transforms colorful pool noodles into an adorable caterpillar-shaped planter, perfect for growing flowers, herbs, or succulents while adding cheerful character to your garden!
You’ll need:
Pool noodles (green or assorted bright colors)
Scissors or craft knife
Small plastic planting cups or nursery pots
Potting soil
Flower, herb, or succulent plants
Wooden dowels or garden stakes
Googly eyes
Pipe cleaners
Hot glue gun
Acrylic paint or markers (optional)
How to make it:
1. Cut the caterpillar segments

Each section will become one caterpillar body segment.
2. Arrange the body
Line up the segments in a curved caterpillar shape.
3. Create planting spaces
Cut a circular opening into the top of each segment large enough to hold a small planting cup.
4. Insert the pots
Place nursery pots or plastic cups into the openings.
5. Add the caterpillar face
Choose one segment as the head.
Glue on googly eyes and draw a cheerful smile.
6. Make antennae
Attach pipe cleaners to the head and curl the ends.
7. Fill with soil and plants
Add potting soil and plant flowers, herbs, or succulents into each cup.
8. Secure and display
Use garden stakes if needed to keep the caterpillar stable, then place it in your garden, patio, or balcony.
Tips:
Plant colorful flowers in each segment for a rainbow caterpillar effect 🌈

Paint patterns on the segments to create a whimsical character 🎨

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 2nd Annual Bike Rodeo! We are so grateful for the families, supporters, and community partners who made this event such a success.

Your support helps us continue raising awareness about the importance of early childhood care and family support throughout Malheur County.

Because of you, more families are learning about the resources available to them, and more children have the opportunity to grow up in safe, nurturing environments.

πŸ’™ What a Day at the Bike Rodeo! πŸ’™πŸš²

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible community for coming out and supporting the Bike Rodeo this weekend!

We were thrilled to see so many children and families enjoying the eventβ€”riding bikes, connecting with community resources, exploring activities, and spending time together outdoors. The turnout and enthusiasm were more than we could have hoped for.

In fact, things slowed down enough during the final stretch of the afternoon that we decided to wrap up about 30 minutes early. After a busy and successful day, it was a welcome sign that families had enjoyed all the event had to offer and headed home with smiles, new experiences, and in many cases, new bikes and safety gear.

This event would not have been possible without our community partners, volunteers, sponsors, food vendors, first responders, and everyone who donated their time, energy, and resources to make the day a success. Your support helped create an opportunity for children and families to learn, play, and celebrate together.

Thank you for helping us build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community. We can’t wait to do it again!
