The Onsted Kiwanis Flag Project is more than a beautiful display of American flags throughout our community; it is our main fundraiser and the reason we can provide scholarships to Onsted students and support important school and community projects each year.

Congratulations to our Amazon Educator Wish List Winners: Alex Fain, Penny Spooner (not pictured), Angie Smelser, and Scot Morrison! At today’s meeting, the Onsted Kiwanis Club was proud to recognize two exceptional individuals for their advocacy and unwavering support of students in our district and across Lenawee County. Chris Howard, LISD Truancy Prevention, School Safety, and Homeless Education Coordinator, and Tanya Anderson, OCS District Families in Transition Liaison, work collaboratively to coordinate essential services for Onsted families. Their efforts support housing, transportation, food, clothing, and other critical resources that help students succeed in school.

In appreciation of their impactful work, our club donated socks to support both the Onsted and county programs, along with additional funds designated for the Onsted program.
