We held an informative and fun scent work seminar with Ana Cilursu this past weekend, concentrating on the Exterior element. Always something new to learn and add to our scent work 'tool kits'! Thank you to Ana and all the participants! Always good seeing our friends!

Looking for new places to explore in Otsego County with your pup? Check out the Otsego Outdoors Otsego Octet Challenges:

https://otsegooutdoors.org/our-challenge/

The challenges began in 2021 and feature a new list of activities each season to complete. Most of the hiking locations are dog-friendly. After completing 8 of the listed activities and submitting your form, your name is added to the official Otsego Octet roster (dogs are added too 😁) and you earn a patch and/or sticker.

There is still time to complete the 2026 Spring Octet which ends June 20.

A few Del-Otse-Nango Kennel Club members have completed various challenges throughout the years and have enjoyed trying new hiking trails. The Winter Octet has been the most popular amongst us. Nice to have extra motivation to get out in the woods in the cold and snowy months.

Completing one Winter Octet each:
Clover and Kate, Coco and Sally, & Zulu and MacKenzie

Completing two season challenges:
Stella and Meg (Winter and Spring) & Turbo and Jodi (Winter and Summer)

Completing three season challenges:
Rodeo and Jodi (Winter, Spring and Fall)

Completing a challenge in all four seasons and earning the extra 4 Season patch:
Rayna and Jodi

A small group of DONKC members braved the rain for our May Fit Dog hike this morning. These 6 humans and 5 dogs ventured up the Table Rock trails at Hartwick College in Oneonta. We had a great time and left with happy, tired pups.

From Frank Lincoln: "Sammy earned his FCAT 4 and had some of his fastest runs all year! Thanks to all involved."

We LOVE interviewing our participants!!!
Maly (Molly) and Winston are always ready to run and have fun at Del-Otse-Nango FastCAT 🐾💨

We’re honestly not sure who has more energy… them or their hooman, James Rada 😅🔥

Either way, they always bring the fun (and the speed)!
We can’t wait to see you all again this fall!!! 🍂✨
