We are helping the Oneonta Veteran’s Outreach Center gather essential items to support their mission. Whether you're cleaning out your closet or your pantry, your donation makes a difference.

Clothes & Shoes: From brand new to "well-loved"—they take it all.
Linens: Sheets, towels, and blankets.
Pantry Items: All non-perishable food items.

Every bag of clothes and every box of pasta helps us provide for veterans and families in our community.

On June 10, 2026, at 5:00 pm at the Oneonta Elks Club there will be a special flag raising ceremony. We need an honor guard to attend and present the flag. There will be a fundraising dinner afterwards that will be free to Legion members in uniform. All honor guard and uniformed members should gather at Post 259 at 4:00 pm and travel to the Elks Club as a group. Please attend if possible.

Help us support a great cause right here in Oneonta! 🏠

The Oneonta Veteran’s Outreach Center is currently looking for donations to support their vital programs for veterans, local youth, and individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.

What they are collecting:
📦 CLOTHING & TEXTILES - They accept ALL clothing and footwear in any condition (socks, hats, ties, linens, and towels). These items are converted into cash to fund their community services!
🥫 FOOD PANTRY - They are also in need of non-perishable food donations to help keep the pantry stocked for families in need.

Did you know Oneonta has its very own Veterans Museum? 🧐

Tucked inside American Legion Post 259 is a treasure trove of local history that belongs to all of us. The Oneonta Veterans Museum features:

✅ Rare military photography and posters
✅ An impressive collection of military models
✅ Personal artifacts from local families
✅ Stories of service spanning generations

We want the next generation to see these stories firsthand. Bring the kids, bring a friend, and help us keep these memories alive.

Visit us this week:
Tuesdays & Thursdays (3-5 PM) or Saturdays (1-3 PM).
Entry is free, and the experience is priceless.
