This Weekend at UUSO: Oneonta was a clandestine station of the UGRR with its secrecy maintained until its existence was uncovered by piecing together clues located up to today. This chronology of dates, organizations and personalities include a visit to Oneonta by Frederick Douglass in 1857. Our speaker led this research and will talk to us about the organizations involved and the results of their work.

Travelling Church: Detroit

While UUSO is part of the larger UUA community, we often forget there are other churches out there. There is a lot we can learn from how other congregations run their services, so we will be bringing those services to UUSO occasionally during the coming year. This week we are visiting the Greater Detroit UU Collective for "Labor Day", led by Rev. Julie Brock.
