Making a trip to the grocery store or clearing out a closet this week? 🛒👕

Consider making a quick stop at the Oneonta Veteran’s Outreach Center at 4 Academy St! They are currently accepting:

Clothing & Footwear - All types, sizes, and conditions are welcome.

Linens - towels, sheets, and blankets.

Food - canned goods and dry pantry staples.

Your donations help them provide essential services to veterans and families throughout the area.

🗓️ Open for drop-offs: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 3:30 pm.

🚫 Note: Please do not leave items outside after closing hours for the day!

June is National PTSD Awareness Month, a dedicated time to recognize the invisible wounds carried by so many of our nation's heroes.

For many veterans, the toughest battles begin after the uniform comes off. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is not a sign of weakness; it is a natural reaction to extraordinary and challenging circumstances. This month, the goal is to shift the conversation from silent struggle to open support, ensuring no veteran feels isolated in their journey.

Let's honor their service by fostering a community of understanding, patience, and unwavering advocacy. Healing is a long road, but it is one that no veteran should ever have to walk alone.

RIDING WITH PURPOSE.

The Legion Riders at Post 259 are more than just a motorcycle group... we are veterans and supporters dedicated to serving those in need. On June 6th, our mission takes us to the streets for our annual Vets for Pets ride.

We’re proud to support the hard work of the Susquehanna SPCA, Super Heroes Humane Society, and Friends of the Feral. Join the formation and help us give back to the animals that provide so much comfort to so many.

Staging: American Legion Post 259, Oneonta
Registration: 0900 – 1015, Kickstands Up: 10:30
Donation: $20 per participant
Rain date is June 7th.

Our 9th Annual Vets for Pets Run is coming up on June 6th, and we’re proud to support Friends of the Feral TNR as one of this year’s beneficiaries! ❤️

Friends of the Feral TNR works to make a difference for community cats in Otsego County through Trap-Neuter-Return, education, and support for those caring for feral cat colonies. Their work improves the lives of cats while also benefiting our communities. 🐈‍⬛✨

Now it’s our turn to help them!
