Sugarland Lake Association will be hosting our annual Independence Day community gathering on July 4th at 6PM at McKay Park. There will be co****le boards, badminton, volleyball, free hotdogs and bottled water for everyone! We will also have our fireworks show beginning at dusk. Bring your fireworks and we'll shoot them for you so you can enjoy the evening! We hope to see you then!

On Sugarland Lake, Reid Rd:
Someone decided to break into a vehicle around the 1279-953 Reid Rd area by busting out the glass. This happened in the early hours of Thursday May 21st.
Please be alert to anything you deem as suspicious and notify law enforcement immediately.
Protect yourself and your neighbors!

Good morning everyone! It's been a long and busy weekend! Here is something I wanted to let everyone on the lakes know about.
The SLA Board meets each month on the 4th Thursday at 6 PM. Usually we meet at 60 Sheffield Dr, Oneonta (at my house [Brian]). These meeting are open for anyone to attend, but please notify a board member in advance as there is limited space. At the end of the meeting, there will be time for questions or comments from anyone. Remember that in order to have a vote on any matters concerning SLA, you must be a member of the association.
Our next board meeting will be May 28 at 6 PM. Your voice matters to all of us! Thanks for reading this post!!!

Hey folks, Tex Martin has had an issue lately with thefts from his vehicle and around his yard. This is on Holiday Drive on McKay Lake. He has put cameras up to see if he can catch the thief. Just be aware in case you have anything of value in your yard or in your truck. Thanks!

Would anyone be interested in having a small roadside locally grown produce stand on Sugarland Lake and if so, what would you like to see it carry? It would be available in the afternoons and weekends.

Just a heads up for everyone, I have blocked several people from this page. They hate to see anything good come about and they only spew hate. It's sad that we have "neighbors" that want to see everyone and everything fail. Yet at the same time, they are unwilling to do anything to make the lakes better. This nonsense will not be tolerated and we have the ability to keep them away from this page. Thanks to all of you for supporting the lakes and wanting to see things improve!
