I haven’t posted in a while but I’m opening a quick pop up shop that closes October 7. These are set to be delivered before October 15 for the Wave of Light. l designed this year’s shirt to honor Chase but also to allow others to honor their child during Wave of Light. We finally dropped off the care totes to the NICU! I’ve been horrible this year at posting, but more thanks are in order to Kait Lyn for the notebooks, Lindsey Gardepe for the candy, gum and hair ties, Sarah Weir for the gift cards for Starbucks and Forgotten Dream Creations for the awesome water bottles!

We have a good start to our care totes going to 10 NICU families again this year. So far we have quilts, baby hats, books, lotion, chapstick, mints, pens, and jelly fish with more on the way. But thank you to my mom and grandma for all these items.

Production of the shirts has started. So far we’ve raised $800.90 to go to the NICU. Stay tuned for more on our care totes we’ve started to put together for NICU families and other details about the Chase workout on 8/24/24! 💪🏻♥️

Edited: We raised $3,657.14 that’s all going towards the Albany Med NICU! That’s amazing! Thank you for hosting this event again and to everyone who donated, did the workout, and just supported me in general through another year without Chase in my arms.

I seem to always forget this (thankful for friends that remind me) but if you want to just make a donation, you can Venmo me directly but I ask that you just add “CHASE-NICU” in what it is for (you know I want an audit trail!) or donate via cash or check at PRF (via a lock box). Contact me if none of these options work.

Update: So far we’ve raised $2,322.14 during this year’s fundraiser. All of this is going to the Albany Med NICU in honor of Chase. The nurse manager said they are in need of new developmental positioners, which are used to “snuggle” and position babies, especially those who cannot be held. We were unable to hold Chase as it was considered too risky. The nurse allowed me to hold Chase up (the only time I got to “hold”him before he got sick) while she re-positioned him. Additionally, any left over funds will be used for a Sonar Med project just starting in the NICU. This is a device that monitors endotracheal tube placement in premature infants to help medical staff better monitor placement and prevent unplanned extubations. So all funds raised are definitely going towards something that will help ! Huge thanks to everyone who has donated!
