We appreciate them taking the time to tour our facility and learn more about the services we provide to children and families in our community.

Today, we were honored to recognize Representative Kelly Keisling for 15 years of dedicated service on our Board of Directors.

For more than 15 years, Representative Kelly Keisling has been a steadfast advocate for the children and families we serve. His leadership, commitment, and continued support have made a lasting impact at both the local and state levels. Through his advocacy, he has helped strengthen the voice of vulnerable children and championed efforts that make a real difference in their lives.

We are truly blessed to have his continued support, guidance, and dedication to our mission. Thank you, Representative Keisling, for 15 years of faithful service and for being a champion for children. We look forward to continuing this important work together. 💙

As the month of June comes to a close, we continue to recognize Children’s Awareness Month, a time dedicated to nurturing early education, promoting child health and safety, and championing the limitless potential of every child. This month serves as an important reminder that children thrive when they are surrounded by safe environments, caring adults, and strong community support.

Children’s Awareness Month also highlights the need for advocacy, children’s mental health, prevention, and community investment to address systemic issues such as child abuse, neglect, poverty, and barriers to education and healthcare. By working together, we can help ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow, learn, and succeed.

At the Children’s Center of the Cumberlands, we remain committed to providing hope, help, and healing for children and families impacted by abuse. Through advocacy, trauma-focused services, prevention education, and strong community partnerships, we strive each day to create a safer and brighter future for the children we serve.

Marsha has been a part of our Board since it’s inception and her presence has played a very important role through the years in helping us carry out our mission to help the children in our community. We are so blessed to have her by our side…every step of the way helping to fight against child abuse and being a voice for those children who cannot speak for themselves!

💜 On this , we wear purple to stand with our partners and show support for older adults impacted by abuse.💜

Elder abuse affects 1 in 10 adults over the age of 60. In Tennessee, everyone is a mandated reporter of elder abuse, just as we all are with child abuse. 💜💙

If you suspect an older adult is being abused, neglected, or exploited in any way, you are required to make a referral to Adult Protective Services.
