🎉 Happy Birthday, Taylor! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating someone who has made such a difference in the lives of so many animals at Halo’s. ❤️❤️❤️

We’ve watched Taylor sit patiently with animals who were terrified of human touch until they finally learned that hands could be gentle. We’ve watched feral and fearful animals become loving because she was willing to give them the time, patience, and care they needed.

Taylor, thank you for loving the difficult ones, the scared ones, and the ones who just needed someone willing to give them a chance. We’re so thankful to have you as part of our Halo’s family.

🥳 Help us wish Taylor a very Happy Birthday! 🥳

An overdue post for someone we are incredibly proud of. 💗🐾

As Taylor begins her very first fall semester of college, we couldn’t let this milestone pass without taking a moment to recognize someone who has become such an important part of Halo’s Home.

Taylor is a recipient of the Halo Scholarship, funded by Halo Excavation & Hauling, and we could not be more proud to watch her take this next step toward the future she has worked so hard for.

Taylor’s accomplishments already speak volumes about her drive: 4-year FFA member & 3-year officer, livestock & horse judging competitor, multi-sport athlete, OHS Drama member, and early graduate with 100+ hours of community service, along with being certified in OSHA, HIPAA, and in CPR. Now she’s attending Roane State & plans to transfer to TTU to pursue a bachelors in Animal Science while continuing what she calls her dream job at Halo’s Home. 🥺💝

She is a staff member, a volunteer, AND a foster. She has helped so many animals with how much effort & time she invests in loving them. Knowing the impact she has already made, we can only imagine how many lives she will change in the in the years ahead.

Beyond being a colleague, somewhere along the way, Taylor became much more than a coworker. She became a best friend and family to all of us at Halo’s.

To know Taylor is to know blunt honesty, pure goofiness, and absolutely never a dull moment. 😂 You may not always know what she’s going to say next (and sometimes you may wonder why on earth she decided to say it out loud) but one thing is guaranteed: she’ll have you laughing, smiling, or shaking your head before it’s over. She brings a lightheartedness to even the most stressful days, and Halo’s wouldn’t be the same without her.

Taylor, we are proud of you. We are grateful for you. And we are so blessed to have you in our lives!!

This is only the beginning, and we cannot wait to see just how far you go. 🎓🐾💗

Congratulations on your graduation, your scholarship, & your first semester of college. Your Halo’s family is cheering you on every step of the way. We love you!!

🥺🙏🏼❤️

This story broke my heart. 💔 Two dogs who had just had puppies were dumped on the side of a road. One is half blind. They now need forever families.

This is what Halo’s Home Animal Rescue of Tennessee shared:
👇👇👇
Can you imagine being blind… tiny… and still full of love? You’re excited because you’re going for a car ride. Then suddenly you’re sitting on the side of a dark backroad. You hear the truck speed away, but you can’t see where it went… or understand that you’ve just been abandoned.

Can you imagine being a mother, your body aching with milk, but all the sudden your babies are gone and you have no idea where they are?

You search. You cry. You don’t understand where they went or if they’re even alive. You snap at the people trying to help because you’re scared. You curl up and lay in a ball of depression because you don’t know what else to do.

The only comfort you have is your blind best friend (who also had puppies that are nowhere to be found). Neither of you has any protection. Neither of you understands why the people who were supposed to care for you threw you away.

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝟮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀.

Thankfully, a passerby witnessed 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻 stop his truck, dump these dogs on the side of the road, and speed away.

We still have no idea where either litter of puppies could have went or if they are alive. This is being investigated, & we will do everything we can to get justice for these little ones.

🐾 PLEASE COME SEE US TOMORROW! 🐾

Halo’s Home Animal Rescue will be hanging out at Tractor Supply Co. in Oneida from 10AM-2PM for their Pet Event Day! 🩵

Come meet some of our animals, learn a little more about what we do, and show some love for the animals of our community! Whether you’re looking to adopt, want to support your local rescue, or just want to stop by and say hi… we’d love to see you! 🐶🐱

And if you’ve been looking for a little way to help, we definitely won’t turn down a bag of food! 🫶🏼 Our kitties have officially cleaned us out of dry cat food, and our dog food supply is getting pretty low too.

But most of all, just come see us! Events like these are such a fun opportunity for our animals to get out, socialize + meet new people, and hopefully even meet their forever families. 🏡

✨ Spotlight Mention ✨

We especially want to thank our local Tractor Supply Co. for their continued support of the animals in our community who need us most. ❤️ Their generosity has helped us keep hundreds of bellies full, given so many animals the opportunity to find their forever homes through events like these, and made a difference in more ways than they probably realize.

Their staff is genuinely so kind and supportive of our mission, and that is something we will forever be thankful for. We love you guys!! 🐾
So if you see a TSC member, please thank them for their hard work & dedication!!

Really hoping we get a happy ending like this…🥲🤞 Because it appears someone has stolen our wheelbarrow from the rescue.

Yes. Our wheelbarrow. 💀
It is a blue Cobalt, has 2 wheels, and rusted on the inside. 😂 it was also full of dirt & weeds when taken.

It may not seem like much, but we actually use it for a lot around here… moving supplies, hauling trash, cleaning, working on the property, and many other random things.

So, to whoever our wheelbarrow apparently decided to go home with… please bring it back.
✨ No questions asked. ✨

Or if anyone has one they don’t use or could donate, please reach out. We are hopeful it is returned, but are aware that is a slim chance. Not a post we ever expected to make, but we are thankful for those who support us and don’t take our things lol.

There are so many people who support us at Halo’s, but one group that often goes unnoticed is the customers who support the construction business that primarily funds our rescue. 🐾

Because of your support of our hauling & excavation work, the business was able to 100% donate a ✨ New Ford Transit ✨ transport van to our county’s only rescue.

Every load delivered, every job completed, and every client/company who chooses to do business with us helps us continue to save our strays & animals in need.

🩵🐶 From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting the business that support Halo’s. 🐶🩵

💔 Update on Junie 💔

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Junie’s injuries were too severe. After a thorough veterinary evaluation, we learned that her back was broken, along with multiple other traumatic injuries. Though she had no feeling in her lower half, she was still in significant pain and suffering. There was no chance of recovery.

The hardest part of rescue is making the decisions no one ever wants to make. Today, the kindest gift we could give Junie was peace. We made the heartbreaking decision to humanely euthanize her so she would no longer suffer.

While this is not the outcome we had hoped for, sometimes a peaceful, painless goodbye is the greatest act of love and compassion we can give an animal.

We may never know her past, but we made sure her final chapter was filled with love.

Thank you to everyone who reached out, donated, shared her story, and kept her in your thoughts. Your support allows us to be there for animals like Junie, even when the ending isn’t the one we hoped for.

Even when she was in so much pain, she never growled, nipped at us, or was aggressive in any manner. She was truly a good girl.

🌈❤️ Rest in puppy paradise, Junie. ❤️🌈
🙏🏼 Until we meet again 🙏🏼

As always, thank you to every one at Highland Veterinary Hospital. We never worry or wonder when you have one of our rescues in your care. Thank you for being there for the animals, for our community, and for Halo’s.
___________

Update: We have named her Junie. She is receiving medical attention. She is unable to walk and has significant injuries. While the prognosis is not good, we will still try. We have a very high vet tab as is…

❤️‍🩹 If it’s put on your heart & you are able to help, you can donate to our our Halo’s account directly by calling:

Highland Veterinary Hospital at (423)286-9292
Account Name: Halo’s Home

Thank you to everyone who supports our county’s only rescue. We are so thankful for our community. 🥺

🙏🏼 PLEASE help us find this poor baby’s owner🙏🏼
Individuals found her after a car possibly hit her. She is in critical condition.
