Registration for summer water aerobics is now open. Join Elizabeth Sturgill for classes every Wednesday 5:00-5:30 p.m., Thursday and Friday 10:30-11:00 a.m. Individual classes are $10 each, a 10-class punch card is $60. Classes will begin as soon as we are able to open, so register today!

Aquatic Center Update: The broken valve was replaced successfully yesterday, allowing us to get water flowing. Our summer pool staff worked hard last night getting everything cleaned up. We hope to start filling the pool tomorrow, followed by balancing chemicals. If everything goes well, we hope to open around the middle of next week! Thanks for your patience and support!

We are fortunate in Onawa to have a beautiful park system. We wanted to share a reminder to talk with your children about taking good care of them. Vandalism and graffiti are not acceptable. We have cameras at our parks. Also please properly dispose of your garbage in available garbage bins or carry it out with you.
Thank you for being good stewards so we can have amazing spaces to enjoy !

We hoped to open Memorial Day weekend but due to pool repairs, we will likely be opening around May 28 or 29th. We can't wait to see you all soon!

We are working hard to prepare the Onawa Aquatic Center for the public to enjoy this summer. Behind-the-scenes improvements have included replacing the two large valves that control the re-circulation; A new main pump on order; the hole you see on the East side of the pool is for access to a bad valve and leak; painting chipped surfaces and adding slip-resistant surfacing in the pools; new control panel for the lift chair. In addition, there are other items we are working to address. A huge thank-you to the Harvest Festival of Onawa, Iowa for their over $10,000 donation so we have been able to get all this done.
Swim lesson forms and pool party bookings are live on the website. Water aerobics will be happening again as well!
Our goal is opening Memorial Day weekend-just know this may be affected by weather or the maintenance and repairs.
