Join us for the FREE Healthy Land, Healthy Lake EXPO—a fun, hands-on event packed with ideas to protect our lakes and land. Bring a friend (or two) and stop by anytime!
Saturday, May 2 • 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Tulibee Tavern (235 Main Street, Wahkon)

What you’ll find:
• More than 20 exhibitors
• Guest speakers on lakeshore stewardship, loon rescue, and walleye habitat
• Shoreline Stewardship Roundtable (12–1 p.m.) for ideas + 1:1 expert advice
• Native plants for sale (MNL plant truck) + possible tree seedlings from area SWCDs
• “Get the Lead Out” tackle exchange (trade lead tackle for lead-free options)
• Free nitrate water testing (bring a tap-water sample - Run cold water 5–10 minutes, collect in a clean jar/baggie, keep it cool, and bring it to the Mille Lacs SWCD booth.)
• Prizes + special activities throughout the

Come for one talk or stay for all three:
• 9:15 a.m. – Sami Selter, Minnesota Lakes and Rivers Advocates: the Lake Steward shoreline restoration program
• 9:45 a.m. – Sheila Johnston, Minnesota Loon Rescue: what to do if you encounter an injured or sick loon
• 10:15 a.m. – Kayla Lenz, Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission: walleye spawning habitat
