Did you know a heart attack and sudden cardiac arrest are not the same thing?

Every year, more than 350,000 cardiac arrests happen outside of a hospital, and nearly 70% occur at home.

That means the person most likely to save a life isn’t a doctor or first responder. It’s often a family member, friend, coworker, or neighbor.

As we recognize CPR & AED Awareness Week, I’m sharing simple information that can help all of us feel more prepared when an emergency happens. Understanding the difference between a heart attack and sudden cardiac arrest is an important first step.

This topic is especially personal to me because of my family’s experience with heart disease and the work I do through my CSI. My hope is that by having these conversations, more people will feel confident recognizing warning signs, learning lifesaving skills, and taking action when seconds matter.

I encourage you to check out the American Heart Association’s Nation of Lifesavers initiative and learn Hands-Only CPR. It only takes a few minutes to learn, but those few minutes could one day help save someone’s life.

I am fundraising money for the American Heart Association, consider donating to my fundraiser: http://spot.fund/3wp15vcsc

The more we know, the more prepared we can be. ❤️

This weekend, I took a short break from pageant prep to volunteer at one of my absolute favorite events in our community.

A huge thank you to the for creating such a meaningful opportunity that celebrates and empowers women with disabilities, giving them a platform to shine, share their talents, and be recognized for all they have to offer.

It is always inspiring to witness the confidence, joy, and support that fills the room during this event.

Congratulations to our 2026 Miss Remarkable! Your passion, talent, and accomplishments are truly worth celebrating. ❤️

Happy 178th Birthday, Wisconsin!

Today we’re celebrating 178 years of the state we proudly call home.

One of the things I love most about Wisconsin is being able to step outside and witness beautiful sunsets like this. From our rolling bluffs and winding rivers to our small towns and vibrant communities, there is so much to appreciate about life in America’s Dairyland.

In honor of Wisconsin’s 178th birthday, here are a few fun facts about our state:

1. We lead the nation in cheese production, crafting more than 600 varieties.

2. Minnesota may be known as the “Land of 10,000 Lakes,” but Wisconsin is home to more than 16,000 lakes.

3. The first ice cream sundae was created right here in Wisconsin in 1881.

4. The very first cheesehead was worn at a Milwaukee Brewers game before becoming an iconic Wisconsin symbol.

5. One of my favorite fun facts! Barbie’s full name is Barbara Millicent Roberts, and according to her backstory, she’s from the fictional town of Willows, Wisconsin.

6. Wisconsin banned the sale of margarine from 1895 to 1967. Even today, a few unique restrictions remain on the books!

For a state known for its cheese, lakes, and Packers pride, Wisconsin’s greatest strength has always been its people. Here’s to 178 years of history, community, and making an impact far beyond our borders.

Happy Birthday, Wisconsin!

✨🇺🇸Happy Memorial Day🇺🇸✨

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than the unofficial start of summer. It is a day of remembrance for those who gave their lives in defense of the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their courage, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate two historic milestones: America’s 250th anniversary and Onalaska’s 175th anniversary. As we reflect on the history of our nation and our community, we are reminded that the opportunities, freedoms, and traditions we cherish today were made possible through the sacrifices of generations before us.

As you gather with family and friends today, I encourage you to take a moment to remember those who gave everything for our country and to reflect on the responsibility we share in honoring their legacy through service, gratitude, and community.

A huge thank you to our incredible local American Legion Post 336 for coordinating and hosting today’s Memorial Day ceremony. 🇺🇸

We are grateful for all you do to honor our nation’s heroes, support our veterans, and give back to our community throughout the year. Your dedication helps ensure that the sacrifices of those who served are never forgotten.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. ❤️🤍💙

Today it was officially announced how much was raised during the 2026 Miracle Gala!

Events and organizations like this change lives by giving families hope, support, and resources during some of life’s hardest moments. Being able to volunteer and witness the generosity of our community firsthand was truly so special.

This year’s Miracle Gala raised more than $330,000 for 💛💙

Change doesn’t happen overnight, and it doesn’t happen because of just one person. It happens when a community comes together with compassion, generosity, and a shared goal of making a difference.
