We are looking for delegates to compete for the titles of Miss Onalaska & Miss Onalaska’s Teen 2027!

Have you ever thought about competing in a scholarship competition? Maybe you want to earn scholarship money, make new friends, grow your confidence, or try something new!

Whatever your reason, this is your sign to RUN FOR THE TITLE!

We have both a Miss and Teen program, and you do not need previous pageant experience to get involved!

Wondering if you’re eligible?

Miss Onalaska: Ages 18–28. You must be no older than 28 by September 1, 2027.

Miss Onalaska’s Teen: Ages 14–18. You must be at least 14 by September 1 and no older than 18 on September 30 of the competition year.

Location: You must live, work, or attend school in La Crosse County or Trempealeau County, including West Salem.

Competition date is set for Nov 14th!

Miss Onalaska is an official local preliminary to the Miss Wisconsin and Miss America organization, offering opportunities to earn scholarships, grow your leadership skills, and make a difference in your community!

🍁A little Oktoberfest recap! 🍁

One of my favorite parts about being Miss Onalaska is that we don’t just represent Onalaska. We get to be part of the love, excitement, and support that makes the entire Coulee Region and the heart of the Driftless region such a special place to call home.

Getting to be part of both the Maple Leaf Parade and Torchlight Parade was such a fun experience, and these are memories I know I’ll cherish for a lifetime.

A huge S/O to our amazing director for our parade carriage (aka the Jeep 😂) and to the Langrehr family for all your help getting everything set up!

To the next Miss Onalaska and Miss Onalaska’s Teen: take ALL the pictures, make ALL the memories, and soak up every moment. Your year will go by in the blink of an eye!

We of course couldn’t have a weekend full of events without being fueled by BUBBL'R!

Happy World Heart Day! ❤️

September 29 is World Heart Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about cardiovascular disease and the importance of prevention and heart-healthy habits.

When I started my CSI, long before I ever competed in a pageant or imagined I would, I started it as a way to process the loss of my father. But it quickly became so much more than that.

I started sharing what I was learning and doing for my own health because my family’s story isn’t rare. Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death worldwide, which is exactly why I choose to speak up. I don’t want to become another statistic.

Heart health isn’t something we should only start thinking about as we get older. Understanding your risk factors and building healthy habits early can make a difference. That can look different for everyone, from staying active and prioritizing sleep to knowing your numbers and talking with your healthcare provider about your personal risk.

There are small things we can do every day that add up when it comes to our heart health:

Know your numbers. Talk with your healthcare provider about your blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and other personal risk factors NO MATTER YOUR AGE.

Move your body. Find movement you enjoy and make it part of your routine.

Fuel your body. Focus on balanced, nutrient-rich foods and sustainable habits rather than quick fixes.

Prioritize sleep. Make getting consistent, quality sleep part of your heart-health routine.

Know your family history. Talk to your family and healthcare provider about conditions that may put you at higher risk.

Learn the warning signs. Knowing the signs of a heart attack or stroke and when to call 911 can save a life.

Heart disease runs in my family, and I have genetic risk factors that put me at higher risk. But I am not letting that define me.

I continue learning about what I can do to take better care of my heart every day in honor of my father.

You don’t have to change everything overnight. Start with one thing.

Running for the title of Miss Onalaska was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and I truly believe the experience is so much more than just competing for a crown. It’s an opportunity to grow your confidence, find your voice, serve your community, build lifelong friendships, and challenge yourself in ways you never expected.

And guess what?! There’s STILL time to sign up and run for the titles of Miss Onalaska and Miss Onalaska’s Teen 2027!

If you’ve ever thought, “Maybe I should try this…” THIS is your sign! You never know where saying yes to yourself might take you.

We’re also looking for show sponsors to help make this year’s competition possible! The Miss Onalaska Scholarship Organization is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and your support helps us continue providing opportunities, scholarships, and meaningful experiences for young women and girls in our community.
