Midwest Dog Rescue Network

Midwest Dog Rescue Network We are based out of Omaha Nebraska. Our dogs are in private homes. We are not a shelter. All of our dogs are fully vetted, altered, microchipped, etc.

A current list of dogs available can be found at https://www.adoptapet.com/adoption_rescue/73130-midwest-dog-rescue-network-omaha-nebraska If you are planning to leave a dog in an outside kennel, garage, or porch we will not adopt to you. Our dogs are companion animals and need to live in your home with you even when you are not home. and we pride ourselves in our thorough adoption proc

ess for the dogs in our care. We are NOT dog trainers and cannot take your dog that is aggressive with other dogs. We can tell you the name of a few behaviorists or trainers that you can contact to work with. We are also not an organization that can help you pay your dog’s vet bills. We work hard to pay ours

We are very proud to announce that Gail has been adopted 🎉

Gail began her journey dumped at a local humane society with her littermates, petrified of the world and struggling in the shelter environment.
Shelter staff reached out to see if we’d be interested in taking any of the dogs. We sent out one of our volunteers to pick one with one request - pick the pup from this litter that needs the most support. And she picked Gail!

That day was just over 2 years ago.

Gail has been a beloved part of our rescue, blossoming in her foster home and becoming an awesome little lady. She has met a handful of potential adopters, but she still had her quirks so she was having a hard time finding the right match.

After a month long trial adoption, today she is officially adopted!

We are beyond grateful for the support of so many people in our community who helped make this borderline feral dog’s happily ever after a reality. From the shelter staff who knew she would benefit from placement in rescue, the volunteer who picked her out, awesome veterinarians who worked with her patiently to provide medical care when she needed it, her foster home that worked with her and gave her a safe space to grow into a wonderful dog, and to our followers who have supported our rescue so that we could make today happen for a very deserving dog.

We are so happy for Gail and her new mom Laura on what can only be described as one of our most emotionally rewarding adoptions.

Thank you for supporting rescue & congratulations Gail 🩵

Nora keeps things interesting for her foster mom 🐝

We are thankful for a great team of vets at Val Verde Animal Hospital who made time on a Friday afternoon to get Nora a quick Benadryl shot & steroid to ease any discomfort after Nora most likely ate a bee. We know foster mom & Dr Hord got a good chuckle at Nora’s expense.

Nora has no regrets, and will absolutely be doing this again given the opportunity!

We have a very special girl in our rescue. Her name is Honey she is about 4 yrs old. Honey came from a puppy mill situation. She is scared of everything and will stiffen up when you go to pet her and then run from you or do circles around you. We have been working with her for a couple of months, and she is better than she was but has a long way to go. If you have patience and love to give, she will eventually make a wonderful companion.

What is better than one sweet face to love TWO!!! Our friends at Promise 4 Paws are trying to help rehome to small dogs that are too young for their sanctuary. Please spread the word to help this bonded pair find a new home.

Valerie wanted to wish everyone a happy Cinco de Mayo, but she forgot to hit the post. Cheers.

Valerie is a sweet 4-year-old 5.5 lb. Chihuahua. Valerie is looking for a home that wants a constant companion, she wants to be with you on the couch, outside, in bed and in the bathroom. She is good with other dogs and cats. She does not really play. She is not leashed trained or fully housetrained so a home with a yard that can get her out a lot is needed. She is a sweet sweet girl. https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/47823262-omaha-nebraska-chihuahua

I want to apologize to our wonderful followers, the spammers and scammers have been busy today. I think we got them all blocked. We will not solicit sales of shirts on post of dogs. If you see any just tag us and we will get to blocking it as soon as possible. Thank you

Dior now Gigi found her new home. Dior never came online because her owner got pre-approved and was also willing to foster until she was ready to adopt. Great way to help out and make sure a dog is a fit. We can't always find a perfect Yorkie for you but sometimes we can.
