Today we had the joy of touring Southeast Community College in Lincoln! We were able to tour criminal justice, health science, esports rooms, the welding facility and more! We also got to explore the dorms a bit as well. We topped off the trip with lunch at Raising Canes. Needless to say, our members had a great time and were able to explore some new and existing interests!

On Tuesday, 13 teens from our North Omaha Boys & Girls Club , Carter Lake Boys & Girls Club , and Bryan Middle Boys & Girls Club had the opportunity to visit Metropolitan Community College's Culinary and Horticulture programs! Before the tour, they enjoyed lunch at Sage Bistro , where they experienced student-prepared cuisine firsthand. Thank you to MCC for welcoming our teens!

We want to give a special shoutout to our amazing Youth of the Year, Andrea, who represented Nebraska and Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands at the Midwest Regional Youth of the Year Competition in Chicago! Andrea had an incredible experience meeting and connecting with other youth leaders from across the Midwest and making unforgettable memories along the way. She gave it her all during her speech, interviews, and essays, and represented BGCM and Nebraska with pride. The judges had the chance to hear from so many inspiring young people who shared their stories, personalities, and passion for their Clubs and communities.
This experience challenged Andrea, helped her grow, and gave her memories and lessons that she brought back home with her. We are so proud of everything she accomplished and can't wait to see what the future holds for her. A special thank you to everyone who helped make this experience possible and supported Andrea throughout her journey. Your encouragement and support meant so much and helped make this opportunity one she will never forget. Congratulations to all of the participants, and congratulations to Brook’Lynn and Fatimazahra on being named the 2026-2027 Midwest Youth of the Year and Midwest Military Youth of the Year!

Today we had the honor of taking a handful of members to check out Iowa Central Community College. We were able to walk the entire campus and see nearly every building! We started off with a conversation about specific majors and programs, had lunch, and then got a walking tour of the campus. We had a mix of members from Council Bluffs Boys & Girls Club, Bryan Middle Boys & Girls Club, and North Omaha Boys & Girls Club. I’d say everyone had a great time seeing what triton life is all about!

💥TEEN SIDE ANNOUNCEMENT💥

We are so excited to announce that we will be having a Teen Late Night next Friday, April 24th! This event is for our 7th-12th grade members, free of charge! It is a glow party, so wear neon clothes, and bring something white to die-dye! There will also be food, music, crafts, and plenty of gym games! Make sure to bring a friend as well to get an extra ticket in the raffle! See you all next Friday!🎉🎉🎉
