Filmmaking is a process of repetition, adjustment, and refinement.

A scene might take several attempts before every element comes together. Between takes, departments reset, performers prepare, and the crew works through the details.

What looks effortless on screen is often the result of extraordinary coordination behind the camera.

Our films are collaborative by design. Each production brings people together around a shared creative goal while creating opportunities for professional experience and connection.

Today we're recognizing C. Fowler as part of the filmmaking community contributing to NFI productions. Cadet is a consummate professional and a tremendous asset to any crew he is on. He's a man of many talents and we're grateful to work with him.

For NFI, working with Nebraska storytellers is an important part of building a stronger creative community. Their stories provide the foundation for professional productions, collaboration, and opportunities for others to learn.

Anthony Ochoa, writer of “Release” (2024), was our first storyteller. Before a crew assembles or a camera rolls, someone has to write the story and we are grateful to Tony for starting us off.

Our work is about more than making the film. It's about everything that happens because someone had a story to tell.
