A group of Omaha teens are about to start running real businesses of their own.

Through Thrivival Academy’s Youth Entrepreneurship Program, teens will learn real-world business skills, receive seed money to launch their own businesses, and work directly with local business owners who will mentor them along the way.

For four weeks, they’ll turn their ideas into real products and businesses. Then they’ll put what they’ve learned to the test by selling to real customers and evaluating how their businesses performed.

The entire program is completely FREE for the teens and their families.

And when the program ends, the youth keep the products, supplies, and equipment they used so they can continue building their businesses afterward.

We’re not just teaching entrepreneurship. We’re giving young people the opportunity to actually become entrepreneurs.

Would you like to help us help them?

Your donation helps provide the seed money and resources these young entrepreneurs need to get started.

There’s a verse in the Bible that says “by their fruits you shall know them” (Matthew 7:16-20). It teaches that a person's true character is revealed by their outward actions and results rather than by what they say or how they look.

Our garden is a small reminder of what we try to teach at Thrivival Academy: growth takes time, effort, patience, and care. There's a lot of investment and faith involved.

You won't see progress right away. There will be rainy days, setbacks, and times when it seems like nothing is happening. But if you keep going and continue tending to your metaphorical garden, eventually you’ll be able to harvest the fruits of your labor.

Whether we're helping young people develop practical skills, discover their purpose, or overcome challenges, the goal is the same: not just to SURVIVE, but to THRIVE.

Here are a few snapshots from the garden. We're looking forward to watching both the garden and the young people we work with flourish.

Youth Entrepreneurship Program: Students & Community Support Needed

Thrivival Academy is now accepting applications for students ages 13–18 to participate in our Youth Entrepreneurship Program here in Omaha.

This program gives young people an opportunity to learn entrepreneurship by actually building and running a small business. Students will develop business ideas, learn about planning, budgeting, marketing, sales, and customer service, and work together to turn their ideas into something real.

We are especially interested in working with young people who may not otherwise have access to these kinds of opportunities.

We are also looking for members of our community who want to help make the program possible. There are several ways to get involved, including:

• Sponsoring the program financially
• Donating supplies or equipment
• Providing business expertise or mentorship
• Speaking to students about your career or business
• Helping students connect with local customers and businesses
• Sharing this opportunity with families who may benefit

You do not have to be a business owner or make a large donation to help. Community support in any form can make a meaningful difference in giving these young people an opportunity to learn, create, and build confidence.

If you know a student who would be a good fit for the program, or if you are interested in supporting Thrivival Academy, please send me a message.

We are excited to build this program with our community and give Omaha's young people a chance to see what they are capable of.
