This Memorial Day, we remember the brave men and women who gave everything in service to others. Their sacrifice is the foundation upon which freedom, service, and community are built.

At the First Responders Foundation, we honor their legacy by continuing our mission to support the mental, physical, and emotional wellness of first responders, Veterans, and their families. From the battlefield to the front lines at home, the call to serve never truly ends.

Today, we remember the fallen. Every day, we stand beside those who continue to serve.

🇺🇸 This year, the First Responder Foundation is proud to announce a very special 9/11 Luncheon of Honor, presented by Mutual of Omaha, as we commemorate the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001.

For years, this event has served as a meaningful moment to honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of our local first responders. In recognition of this historic milestone, the 2026 event will be larger than ever before — featuring a powerful keynote presentation from 9/11 survivor and retired Port Authority Detective William Jimeno.

Buried beneath the rubble of the World Trade Center for 13 hours after the towers collapsed, William’s story of survival, faith, resilience, and brotherhood continues to inspire audiences across the nation.

The First Responders Foundation staff was able to drop off donated Girl Scout cookies to the men and women who are manning the brand new Avoca Iowa Fire and Rescue station. What an awesome facility!! 🚒 🍪
