Amazing pep rally today! Great kickoff to the season with first games tomorrow. Huge props to the Fair Game Project for their generous donation today. A big thank you to our volunteers, coaches, parents and athletes for a good deal of fun and merriment today. We will be in touch with raffle winners who were not present to pickup at the pep rally! Let's have a great fall season.

We have 75 amazing cheerleaders this season!!

To get everyone game ready, to replenish our stock, we need to order 23 shells, 15 skirts, and pink shirts and poms for all 75 girls plus our coaches.

We also provide scholarships to ensure every child can participate.

Now, we need our community's help to cover these uniform costs and scholarship funds. Can your business help?

We offer 3 sponsorship tiers:

📣 Pink Pom-Pom Sponsor ($750+)
Help us provide and maintain pink pom-poms for our cheerleaders during October to promote Breast Cancer Awareness! These pom-poms can be reused for 3-5 seasons, but we need your support to keep them in great condition. Each set costs around $15, and we average 60 cheerleaders per year. Your contribution helps us continue this important tradition for years to come!

📣 Cheer Supporter ($350+)
Help us maintain our cheer uniforms and equipment! Kids can be tough on uniforms, especially when it comes to stains on white gear (eek!). Your support ensures that we can keep everything in top shape and provide t-shirts/polos for our volunteer coaches to wear on game day. Your contribution helps keep our program running smoothly!

📣 Breast Cancer Awareness T-Shirt Sponsor ($50 or $100)
Support our cheerleaders by helping supply T-shirts for October while helping us raise awareness about cancer that impacts so many families. These shirts become walking billboards in the community, and we pre-sell them to everyone at September games, donating a portion of sales to a local breast cancer charity. Shirts are sold for $30 ($5 extra for sizes XXL+). You can order shirts for your business, too. It is a Win-Win-Win – LET’S GO PINK!

Ever thought about jumping into the world of youth cheer? This is your chance to be part of something awesome! South Omaha Athletics is gearing up for our 2026 season, and we’re looking for coaches and assistant coaches who want to bring the fun, the spirit, and the smiles.
The only experience you need is dependability, a positive attitude, and the willingness to learn cheers, dances, and work with amazing kids ages 4–14. Our program is recreational, laid‑back, and all about creating a great experience for the athletes. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays, and game days are Sundays—easy, energetic, and a blast.
If you’re ready to cheer loud, have fun, and make an impact, send us a message and we will get you all the details.

The countdown to football season is on!

Our preseason conditioning program begins Tuesday, July 7, and we are excited to get our athletes back together as we prepare for the 2026 fall season.

Preseason Conditioning Schedule

Tuesdays & Thursdays throughout the month of July (official practices start in August) 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Norris Middle School

These sessions are open to all registered tackle football players in 3rd through 8th grade and are designed to help athletes safely prepare for the start of official practices. Players will focus on conditioning, speed, agility, football movement, teamwork, and fun competitive activities.

What to Bring

Athletic clothing Cleats or athletic shoes Plenty of water A great attitude and a willingness to work hard

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can begin promptly at 6:00 PM.

If your athlete has not yet registered for the fall season, there is still time, but we encourage you to register as soon as possible so they can participate in conditioning and be placed on a team before rosters fill.

🎆 It only makes sense that our 4th of July Team Sponsor Spotlight goes to the team that needed QUADRUPLE OVERTIME to finish their season! 🎇

A huge thank you to South High Alumni for proudly sponsoring our SOA Jr. Beef 5th/6th Grade Pink Team this season!

Their final tournament game was an unforgettable battle that went all the way to 4 overtimes, showcasing the heart, determination, and grit these young athletes displayed all season long.
