🌈🐾 Help NEB-PAH Get to Pride! 🐾🌈

We are working to raise $295 to cover our booth rental for the upcoming Pride Festival, where NEB-PAH will be representing our community with gear, education materials, networking, and even a mini mosh!

So far, we have raised $109.39, which means we still need $185.61 to reach our goal.

Every donation helps us create a visible, welcoming, and educational presence at Pride. Whether it’s $5 Friday, a little more, or simply sharing this post, your support makes a difference.

Donations can be sent through Venmo here:

Thank you for helping us bring pet play, education, community, and pride to the festival. πŸΎπŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆπŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ

NEB-PAH β€” Nebraska Pets and Handlers

06/01/2026

Today marks the beginning of Pride Month, a time to celebrate LGBTQ identity, visibility, resilience, and joy. For many of us, Pride is more than a celebration β€” it is a reminder that being seen, loved, respected, and accepted should never be treated as something we have to earn.
At NEB-PAH, our community is built on those same values: authenticity, consent, chosen family, self-expression, and belonging. Whether you are loud and proud, quietly discovering yourself, healing from past rejection, or still figuring out what your identity means to you, there is space for you here.
June is also Men’s Mental Health Month, and we want to take a moment to acknowledge something that is often left unsaid: many men, handlers, pups, pets, and community members carry pain quietly. Too many are taught to stay strong, stay silent, push through, or hide their struggles behind responsibility, humor, service, dominance, caretaking, or performance.
Mental health matters.
Vulnerability matters.
Asking for help matters.
Rest matters.
You are not weak for struggling, and you are not alone because you struggle.
This month, we encourage everyone in our community to check in on each other with intention. Celebrate loudly, but also listen gently. Make room for joy, but also for honesty. Support the people who are still finding their voice. Be kind to the people who seem strong. And remember that pride is not just about being visible β€” it is also about being safe enough to be whole.
To every LGBTQ person in our community: you are welcome, celebrated, and valued.
To every man or masculine person fighting battles others may not see: you matter, and your life is worth protecting.
To everyone who calls NEB-PAH home: thank you for helping us build a community where people can show up as themselves.
Happy Pride Month.
Happy Men’s Mental Health Month.
Take care of each other. Take care of yourselves. And never forget β€” community is one of the strongest forms of survival we have.
With pride, care, and pawprints,
