A Garden Within is a North Omaha Trail Project led by Linda Washington. On Saturday, September 19, 2026, community members gathered to celebrate our fellow and her project. Catering by Obed Sanchez with guest speakers, Dex and Tom, from No More Empty Pots helping to share fresh veggies, recipes, and gardening resources and information!
The garden’s purpose was to involve the community in developing healthier eating habits, enjoy fresh vegetables, and learn gardening skills. With a total of 9 raised garden beds planted by 9 different families, the garden had a variety of flowers, herbs, and veggies planted and harvested. A special thanks to all who supported.
