UNO Women and Gender Equity Center To promote gender wellness and equality in the UNO community through campus events, outreach, and initiatives.

The WGEC, 114 MBSC, is a student-run, multi-service agency offering everyone the opportunity to explore and discover resources pertaining to women's lives and gender equity. To actively support the campus with resources, the WGEC offers free reproductive, menstruation, and parenting products including, but not limited to menstrual cups, tampons and pads, pregnancy tests, diapers, and wipes. ition to offering these resources, the WGEC also works to provide a parenting and lactation friendly space on campus that is welcoming to parents of all gender identities and their children, equipped with a rocker, changing supplies, pack and play, toys, books, and more.

WGEC IS BACK! YAY!

It’s been a long four months, but our love and commitment to our UNO community have never wavered. Though we’re still waiting on our purchase requests to be approved, we couldn’t stay away any longer—we officially resumed operations last week! Keep an eye out for our office hours post!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who stood by us, supported us, and believed in our mission. As we all know, this fight is far from over, (and this fight is about to get a hell of a lot harder,) but we’re back, and you’ll be seeing a lot more of us this year.

The final SJP .unomaha x WGEC has come to an end ‼️

Over the course of our 3 workshops, 40+ t-shirts have been created raising awareness for reproductive health issues in Gaza ❤️‍🩹 a HUGE thank you to everyone who showed up as well as our guest speakers! We couldn't have done this without you! 💗🍉

Keep an eye out for our t-shirt display upcoming in December / January! More information on that as it approaches. Be sure to follow us on TikTok and .unomaha on Instagram for more updates about general events, happenings, etc.! ✨

Trust us, we know more than anyone how essential these supplies are to the student body. The division wants you to think that they aren’t dissolving us by taking our funds. But that’s exactly what they’re doing. If we continue to operate with no funds we will be left with no products and no access to our budget.

We see through their manipulative tactics and we won’t let them silence us. Join us in calling for Cathy Pettid to resign and for our monies to be reinstated.

We hope you join us in this action.

As we approach November 5th, let’s take a stand for reproductive rights and ensure the right to abortion is protected in Nebraska’s constitution. Remember, the last day to register in person is October 25th. Let’s make history together—see you at the polls!
