We offer support financially and emotionally through fundraisers and social events held throughout the year. Spina Bifida is the most common permanently disabling birth defect in the United States. It occurs during the first months of pregnancy when the baby's spine fails to close properly. The disabling effects of spina bifida vary between individuals and there is no cure. Nebraska Spina Bifida works to empower its members to be independent, productive members of society.
